A little early so it was pretty quiet, a really nice restaurant though and the wine and food were lovely.

Nice hidden place far away from central tourist roads. Empty in lunchtime. Great service. Some dishes are very tasty. Overpriced.

Great soups and meats (grill). Liver is excellent, one of the best ever. Good wine selection, wonderful grappa. Very limited dolce list.

This is a place where you simply cant go wrong. Wonderful atmosphere and the best food.

Third visit over 15 years. The grilled veal was great and the first course of Tuscan toasts with chicken liver was as real food as we hoped for. Our service was very friendly and responsive to our desire to take the evening slow as we wrapped up our visit to Rome.

Had Dinner at 7:30 PM. Pasta and service were very good.

I first visited the restaurant about 30 - 35 years ago. I was so very impressed with the food and service at that time that I went to an extraordinary effort to find it again and to make an on-line reservation during my visit to Roma this week. The food was as good as I remembered but the service was abysmal. My wife and I were all but ignored during our visit. We had an interminable wait to order. Mean while others who arrived after we did were promptly attended and served. I doubt that I will ever be back and I will certainly STOP recommending the place to anyone I know coming to Roma. Returned to Giarrosto Toscano after an absence of 34vyears. We have fond memories of our first visit and were hoping for the same. Unfortunately, we were sadly disappointedwith the service and dishes we ordered. The caprese and caesar salads were great but the primi course of spaghetti and mussels was very salty. The restaurant remade the dish but it was only slightly better. Next, the secondi of veal marsala also had a salty taste as did the asparagus. Towards the end of our dinner, we were getting table service by the host not our waiter and then we waited over 20 min to have our dirty dishes removed. All in all sadly disappointing.

Food was excellent, hot food hot cold food cold. Waiter took order someone delivered no interaction with waiter until I ask for the check. Never checked on us? Surprised since the wait staff is normally very attentive. Been dining at this restaurant many times food always good. This is first time service less?.
