Fabulous food and atmosphere. Our meals cooked to perfection and the staff attentive.

The cacio e pepe was good. However, the server added an $11 service fee when he took out the credit card machine. Didn't ask if we wanted to leave a tip or how much, just said $11 okay? And then took our card. Seems like they're trying to take advantage of tourists.

Cibo buono...attesa un po lunga x i piatti...i camerieri non erano molto presenti...bisognava chiamarli di continuo..

Oggi ho provato come antipasto una tagliata di salmone e come primo piatto un risotto provola affumicata e prosecco. Ottima esperienza, tornerò!

Main courses were luke warm (steak and Osso Bucco, but good enough). Funghi porcini on toast starter excellent. Overall food good. Great location. Super traditional enviroment. A traditional roman restaurant.

Ristorante adatto per chi ha voglia di fare un’esperienza diversa. Molti piatti si discostano dalla tradizione e sono davvero ben preparati. Consiglio a tutti!

The food was nice. The waiter was a bit disappointing as he 1) places bread on the table (we assumed it was complimentary as part of our meal) but 2) when we asked for the bill, he made a very clear point that service charge was not included. When we went to pay for our meal, he asked specifically how much we want to put as a service charge, without even asking if the meal was good or how was everything. When I said no service charge he asked me why - I just think it’s quite forward and cringe to be asking for a tip. It should not be expected or rangled for when the customer is paying. After finishing paying, he just abruptly said okay thanks bye and walked away. We are more than happy to pay service charge or tip when and where appropriate like we have done in Rome for other meals, where the service or tip was deserved and not made forcefully. Wouldn’t return to this place to be honest. This was actually a recommendation by a colleague at work to visit when in Rome, but not something I’d recommend to anyone else. Luca at Enosteria Capolecase looked after us, recommended dishes, was patient and friendly and did not “ask” for a tip. We ended up tipping well and having a nice conversation about his time in Sicily and his DJ experience. They just feel very money greedy and rude. Overall, it just made an okay experience become sour.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but my experience at Alla Rampa was so poor that I feel compelled to. The food itself was reasonable, nothing special but nice enough. The problem was the terrible service. It started off badly when the waiter took 25 minutes to take our drinks order - if it was busy, then this is understandable, but there were more waiters than customers! Eventually, we ordered our drinks and food and asked for bread. After some time, he brings the plates and oil for bread... but no bread. We were about to ask for it again, when our mains arrived. Food was fine although one of our party's meals came 5 minutes after the others. We then waited an age for the bill, both before and after asking for it, and they tried to charge us €12 for the bread that never turned up. We then had to wait again for the bill to be corrected. Zero apology for the incorrect bill or not bringing us bread. I can understand that service can be affected if a restaurant is busy, but it was mostly empty (not surprising given our experience) The whole demeanour of our waiter was, "I'm doing a bad job, I know I'm doing a bad job, but I don't really care." We've spent 3 weeks in Italy, and this is the worst meal we've had. I definitely don't recommend it.

The staff was incredible we arrived at 6:00 p.m. and there were not many people in the restaurant so it's very quiet and intimate

Das Essen war gut, die Bedienung war fürchterlich unfreundlich. Es wurde einem alles auf den Tisch geknallt und keine Miene verzogen. Auf Anfrage auf weitere Getränke wurde teilweise nicht reagiert, leere Gläser wurden nicht abgeräumt, der Kellner warf ein Glas um, entschuldigte sich nicht und brachte auch keinen Ersatz. Der Kellner, der abkassierte, war ebenfalls sehr unfreundlich. Fazit Essen gut, Personal Katastrophe ! Augen auf bei der Berufswahl.
