Service was great, really good vibes. Appetizers were really good. I got the gnocchi which I thought could have been better but was still good! One person in my party got the truffle chicken and really enjoyed it and someone else got the steak and said it was excellent. Very cute and reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend!

Ero già stata in questa bellissima osteria, estremamente autentica. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo e il personale è estremamente cordiale e professionale, come non ne ho mai visto. Spero di tornare al più presto. L'atmosfera che si respira all'interno è bellissima, tra le piante e i ritratti di donne italiane e straniere che hanno fatto la storia.

I asked our hotel concierge for a couple of restaurants that we could walk to for Florentine Steak. Osteria Belle Donne was the one we picked and I’m glad we did. It’s a small space so you should definitely make a reservation. The Florentine Steak was amazing and better than any of the steaks we had while we were in Lucca. My wife and I split the steak and an order of ravioli. All the food was great. The atmosphere is eclectic with all the plants hanging from shelves above the tables, the music they played, the pictures on the walls and the close proximity of all the tables. Another unique feature of this Osteria is the wine window that they serve glasses of wine to people outside on the street who knock on the window. Great food, great service and great atmosphere!

Very cozy and delicious meal with a romantic atmosphere! We went in November and got the minestrone and ribolleta to start followed by a truffle pasta and a delicious pasta with red sauce, can’t remember the exact names of the dishes but everything was so beautifully simple and delicious and just what we needed to warm us up on a brisk November day!

A perfect dinner. The staff was outstanding, friendly, very helpful. The food was delicious; we had the bistecca and branzino, both perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was relaxing, comfortable yet elegant. Menu pricing was very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Large selection of fine wines (but we did not imbibe). Highly recommend.

We went several years ago when it was under a different owner. Today was a very different experience. Service was friendly and efficient. It all felt a bit rushed. First course was not finished and the second course appeared. Not the “Italian” experience we are a custom to.
