in a secluded small square, Piperno offers the most delicious Jewish style (not kosher) cooking in Rome, with old school waiters and white tablecloths. Standouts were the “Jewish artichoke,“ ravioli with ricotta, lemon, and spinach, a delicious sea bream, and perfectly cooked lamb chops. Sitting outside on a gorgeous Roman evening and enjoying an unrushed dinner with warm and friendly service is a beautiful memory to take home. knowing that you are doing so in an area filled with so much Jewish history gives the entire experience extra gravitas.
