Top a Firenze cucina tipica e incredibile consiglio a tutti

They didn't have our table ready when we got there, and there was actually a whole queue of people with reservations waiting to be seated. It got so crowded we were told to wait outside. We got our table within 15mins but it took them as much as half an hour to seat the kast group that waited with us. The service was cordial, if a bit rushed, and the restaurant was crowded elbow to elbow with tables; the rooms had poor ventilations that led to quite a hot temperature and very stale air, so much so that by the end of the meal we just wanted to get out and take a breath of fresh air, and skipped the dessert. The food was made with quality ingredients and proven recipes: the cheese platter was paired with a divine pear chutney and the flavours were amazing. The kitchen staff was probably feeling the pressure of a full restaurant though, as the pasta was a tad undercooked (as in, borderline crunchy). By the end of the night the staff was clearly worn, and even the manager misread the order sheet and accidentally overcharged us, having to refund us the difference blaming the server. Overall a very mediocre experience: it didn't feel like we wasted our time or money, but we probably won't return and can't honestly recommend Trattoria 13 Gobbi.

A very authentic trattoria experience. The decor was very cosy and homely. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious - particularly the 'Veal Steakhouse'. Would definitely return if visiting Florence again.

This was our second time dining at Trattoria 13 Gobbi. The first time (last year) was so incredible we knew we had to come back. Well nothing has changed (maybe even better). We got the rigatoni, wild boar ragu, bisteca fiorentina, and of course, the house Chianti. Absolutely incredible. No complaints. Everything was perfect. Our server Emanuel was so wonderful and friendly. We love Trattoria 13 Gobbi and it is a must every time we visit Firenze.

Quando sono a Firenze mi piace mangiare in questo locale. Le porzioni non sono abbondanti ma il cibo è di ottima qualità. Un po' buio secondo i miei figli ma merita come osteria. Conviene prenotare.
