Having visited the restaurant in 2018, I missed sitting in the cozy interior and really feeling like a came to a special place. Then the owner was there and engaging (in spite of the language difference). This time, there was no vibe - just peremptory service. It was disappointing as I was hoping to have my fiance share in what had been a unique and charming experience. I did appreciate that we were not rushed and allowed to take as much time as we wanted with each course.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was okay. I wouldn't recommend.

Che bella scoperta questa trattoria! Appena entrati si sente subito un’aria familiare, come se fossi a casa. Il personale è gentile, sorridente e ti mette subito a tuo agio. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo: piatti semplici ma curati, sapori autentici e porzioni generose. Il vino della casa sorprendentemente buono e il dolce fatto in casa una delizia. Prezzi onestissimi per la qualità e la quantità. Sicuramente ci torneremo, è il classico posto dove si sta bene davvero.

We made a reservation based off of the reviews. We were not looking for absolutely fantastic food, but rather authentic Italian foods to taste across multiple courses. To start, I will say the prosciutto, mozzarella balls and tomato bruschetta was good. It wasn’t until after we received fried “meatballs” and fried rice balls, that we realized the reason we liked the other appetizers is because they were not made by the restaurant. The wine served tasted like wine that had been sitting in a pitcher with ice all day and had melted. The main course was sliced pork in au jus along with sautéed chicken bites. Both were bland and reminded me of what you would find on a buffet at a mediocre restaurant/catering hall. The salad served with the entree was drowned in olive oil/salt. There no crunch left in the salad. Lastly, the dessert reminded of a lemon custard cake from a box from a store that had just expired. The waiter never returned to see how things were going. The price of $35 per person is pure robbery. I’m surprised there aren’t more bad reviews for this place. Some may say you get what you pay for, but in this case, you paid for what you didn’t get. Don’t go!

Food was amazing. there were so many courses with the set menu, each one fantastic. we were SO full. staff were super friendly. our only surprise was that it was cash only which we did not have. we had to go to the atm around the corner which had stolen someone else's credit card...other than that experience was fantastic and food was amazing and for the amount of food we got, price was super reasonable!

Comida muy buena. Trato exquisito. El menú lo decide la cocinera. Muy completo con antipasti , pasta (la carbonara, excelente), carne y un postre casero fabuloso. Para repetir.

Für 15 Euro haben wie Vorspeise, Hauptgang 1 und 2 sowie Dessert inkl. Wein erhalten. Alles war super lecker. Wir würden wieder kommen.

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience at Trattoria Der Pallaro. Every course was fresh, flavourful, and played well with the other dishes and courses. The service was warm and personable. Whether you live in Rome, are visiting for the first time or the tenth, Trattoria Der Pallaro is well worth the visit!

I love the experience of not being able to order food. You get what is being cooked that night. It makes it feel like you are eating at someone's home. That being said, I get the sense from other reviews that the menu. might be similar many nights, so it's probably not somewhere where you would go often. The food was not amazing, but it was absolutely fine, and I enjoyed the experience.

Consiglio questa trattoria! E' rilassante non dover ordinare ma avere la gioia di vedere portati a tavola antipasto, primo, secondo, pane, acqua, vino e dolce. Pasto completo e compreso tutto nel prezzo fisso di 30 euro! Ci sono tornata a distanza di un mese e ci tornerò ancora!

Locale accogliente, porzioni generose, rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo. Per me è un 5 stelle su 6.

Esperienza fantastica. Menu fisso e ottimo. Quando hai davvero l'impressione di mangiare in trattoria, piatti senza tanti fronzoli ma buonissimi. Non ci andavo dal 1994... una riscoperta che non lascerò più!

Rustikal und bodenständig, das gilt für Ambiente und Essen. Das Personal ist freundlich und schnell, dass Essen lecker und abwechslungsreich. Für meinen Geschmack etwas zu salzig, aber die Literflasche Wasser ist im Preis inbegriffen :)
