Comincio dalle note dolenti, di cui il ristorante è completamente estraneo, ma che aiuteranno i più a non girare a vuoto. Il ristorante è al centro storico di un paese pieno di sensi unici e di zone in cui è difficilissimo trovare parcheggio. In realtà ci sono due parcheggi di cui uno gratuito ma non segnalato, attraversando il centro storico (lo so è interdetto al traffico se non locale ma non sapevamo più letteralmente dove andare) e proseguendo sempre dritto, arrivati ad una macelleria girare subito a sinistra. Ad ogni modo, tutte le peripezie fatte per arrivare, sono ben ripagate dalla qualità della cucina, segnalata anche dalla guida Michelin come testimoniano i tanti adesivi affissi sulla porta d'ingresso. Il locale è semplice, ed è possibile con il bel tempo e la temperatura giusta mangiare anche in giardino, ma le preparazioni sono di alto livello. Tutti ingredienti di prim'ordine, piatti espressi, e tutto fatto in casa a partire dalla pasta. Piatti tipici della tradizione toscana, con una Fiorentina a farla da padrona per chi è amante della carne. Il tutto condito dai racconti del gioviale padrone di casa, che volentieri si intrattiene con gli ospiti e conversa amabilmente, specialmente della sua illustre ospite la regina d'Olanda che alloggia in zona per le vacanze. Insomma una piacevole serata con ottimo cibo e buona compagnia. Da provare assolutamente.

We had missed our 2000 reservation but they were very gracious in accommodating us at 2145. We had pasta with duck sauce and spinach ravioli as primi. Both were excellent. We split roast chicken thighs, with roasted potatoes as the main. Chicken was slightly salty but the potatoes were outstanding. Tiramisu for desert.

We had a lovely dinner for 14 people here. The pastas were a particular hit-all housemade with the ravioli being my personal favorite. The service also made the night very special for us. We were treated like old friends instead of first timers. A highlight of our Tuscan adventure.

Great atmosphere with tables set on the cobbled street of San Donato. Good food presented by friendly and knowledgable staff.

The dinner was fantastic! The truffle ravioli was great and I would recommend it to anyone. Our server Nicolas was very attentive and helpful in selecting our meals. Grazie Nicolas. Very enjoyable evening with great food!

Very bad, pice and food was really not in balance! Never Toppa again. The meaz was less and dry, the portion of "self made" Taigatelle was more than poor👎

Delicious local food and hospitable service. Located in an old town gives it a romantic touch.
