The Court Cocktail Bar

Friendly and attentive staff, amazing view of the Colosseum, complimentary Prosecco and elegant lite bites to begin, followed by a very creative cocktail menu. We had a Tropical Matcha Mojito (with alcohol) and a Testaccio Sour on a cozy, comfortable sofa overlooking the Colosseum on our last night in Italy. Don’t expect to spend more than 2 hours as they’ll gently give you a last call for your table after about 80 to 90 minutes. Ask to try a shot of Acerum from Distillerie Fove in Quebec, which is a spirit distilled from the sap of maple trees.

Pricey but you expect that for the view and surroundings. Drinks were lovely, service was fantastic and a lovely touch of complimentary bubbly and snacks.

Estuvo realmente increíble! Una vista hermosa a pesar de que me daba la impresión de que era en la planta alta y en realidad se encuentra en la planta baja. Las bebidas con mucha variedad y con excelente presentación y sabor. La experiencia la recomiendo 100%.

Everything was fine when we were inside the bar. But from the front door. The lady was just rude and not inviting. The Italian lady earlier though was fantastic. Just the one at 10pm was a joke.

Pedimos para acompanhar os drinks , um ceviche e sushi ( vem 6 peças ) . Nada de extraordinário, achei caro e são poucas mesas disponíveis em frente ao coliseu . Dependendo da sua “ordem de reserva “ é o seu lugar . Ficamos praticamente no fundo do bar . Não vale o preço .

Had to queue outside and give your name before being shown to your seat. (WHY????) Place looked lovely as you walked in but we were tucked away from the main bar area behind a row of plants. Given a tiny complimentary glass of Prosecco (wow not!). Had to ask for the complimentary bowls of olives and crisps automatically given to the other tables. Waiting staff eventually took the drinks and food order (tiny menu of light snacks). Food arrived well after everyone else's. View was amazing but could have enjoyed the same view with better service and nicer food just a few yards down the road for half the price!!! Final thought ...presentation was beautiful but the whole experience made me feel ripped off, dismissed as not the kind of clientele they wished to entertain! Snobbish beyond belief!

Llegamos antes de la hora de la reservación y no tenían un espacio adecuado para sentarse, tuvimos que esperar de pie, bajo el sol. La única recomendación sería que tengan un espacio para cuando las personas llegan antes de puedan sentar a esperar la hora de su reservación. La comida y tragos estuvieron espectaculares, y el trato de los empleados muy serviciales.

Atrocious! I was looking forward to this visit as it had been on my wish list for visiting the coliseum. When entering the reception we were greeted with a rude receptionist who made us feel like we were not welcomed, and then showed us the outside where we were told to wait well past our booked time slot at 10pm. We then got escorted in and we’re given the complimentary olives and champagne (which was nice) and then waited 20/25 minutes for someone to take our drinks order. We then waited until 10:40 for our drinks to arrive then being told they were having last orders for our time slot just to then be handed the bill and hurried out to get the next lot of people in. In conclusion: The view was nice, drinks were ok but hospitality and staff were dreadful and arrogant ruining the whole experience creating a bad and unpleasant atmosphere. Glad the view has been ticked off our list of things to do but will not be returning nor recommending anyone to come to the establishment.

There was hair in the snack, I asked the waiter to change it, and pressed him several times on the way, he asked us to wait until we left and did not provide it again.

I was coming all the way from Norway to see this restaurant, I booked it. I was so happy to see it, waited near by for 2 hours and still waiting for the time. I was outside and waiting for 1 hour, to come inside. When I finally come inside I was with my father, my father had expensive sandals on he couldn’t wear anything else because of his feet pain. The lady didn’t let us in because of his sandals, it was so disrespectful. I have earlier read people recommendation about this restaurant it was very bad experience for them I didn’t not believe it and still booked it. If I will give this restaurant any scale I’ll give 0 and never recommend this to anyone. I am a TikTok influencer I wanted to post about this place but I’m happy to I didn’t get inside. We booked Oro bistrot and got very big welcome with beautiful staff. Thanks for running my day and mood.

We went there at 23:25, and our reservation was 23:45 and bar is not full but they didnt help us we wait about 20-25 minutes. This is so rude.

View was good at the Colosseum but not great. Having a reservation helped as we were promptly, escorted in past the line. Location was easy to find a nearby to public transportation. Complementary food was amazing as it was a spread of appetizers. Complementary glass of Prosecco was a very nice touch and the staff was very prompt and accommodating. Wish there was shade as Italy is in the middle of a heat wave. I will visit again

- housekeeping told us to sit in the lobby which we did even thou we were 7 minutes behind the reservation . After a few minutes no one came to greet us and we were confused and lost as to what to do. We walked to the back of the hall way when I mentioned that we didn’t know if we were supposed to sit out there when it’s minutes past the reservation, the lady with the tablet apologized which was nice at least. - we walked down the stairs and a group of 5 workers took awhile to greet us ( again we didn’t know where to go to be sat ) finally an older gentleman again asked us our name to check reservation (2nd time). - We get sat down all the way in the back and asked if we could sit towards the front. A young waiter said they were booked ….. odd answer as that explains nothing as we had a reservation too. - the couple after us get seated in a better seat in front of us. And it seemed like they sat people AFTER us in better seats to the front. - the snacks and welcome drink was a thoughtful touch - the drinks were tasty and didn’t take too long. - we had empty glasses for 15 minutes no one would come around to take our second order. We looked around but no one would acknowledge us or check in with us. - after breaking our back in the seats looking for someone to stop by, we gave us in frustration and decided we didn’t want a second drink with the service being horrendous.

Overall, couldn't fault the Court bar itself. Service, complementary snacks, drinks, atmosphere, everything was perfect, just what we were hoping for when making the reservation. The reason the feedback is not 5* was due to the lady at reception. On leaving the bar, I needed the loo so my partner waited by the door for me only to be asked by the reception lady to move, as she tried to gently push him with her 2 hands. We found this extremely rude and inappropriate, in particular as we were paying customers and resulted in our wonderful experience ending negatively.
