Summary- Poor service, overcrowded, hot, dishes came out randomly. Our worse meal experience in Milan. Details- I have sweat dripping from my forehead as I write this review. The restaurant is hot and packed with people. Many problems with the service and food. After being seating, we waited 10 minutes for the waiter to come. Normally, we would order water first, but we ordered the whole meal, 4 dishes and 3 drinks. My wife asked for lemon slices, but the slices never came. The waiter ignored our request. The waiter brought us bread, but no olive oil. The seafood platter arrived, and two of the lemons were frozen in the ice. One shrimp was unclean. The scallops arrived a few minutes later. The bread crumbs on the scallops were burnt, and the cooking oil tasted old. I tried to order more wine. Asked the gentleman who was seating people for another glass. He said “I am not a waiter”. The grilled sea bass arrived. We asked where the second dish was — the linguine with sea urchin. The waitress said “I do not know. It will probably come later”. The linguine did come about 10 minutes later. It had an odd taste and was too salty. The linguine was difficult to eat. When paying the bill, we complained. The owner gave us free tiramisu. This was a nice gesture on his part. He explained that too many customers came to the restaurant. The waiters and kitchen were overwhelmed, but I did not see him turning any customers away.

It is not much crowd, food is ok, patronized by regulars.

We had a wonderful meal at Settembrini 18 while visiting Milan from the US. My husband had Spaghetti with Sicilian Prawns and I had Tagliatelle with Lobster. Both dishes were plentiful, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! The service was excellent and the staff was very kind. We highly recommend Settembrini 18!

It was a pleasant experience! I have tried seafood pasta in several restaurants and I can say this one was delicious, with very fresh ingredients and very tasty. My mom ordered the asparagus tagliatelle and it was very tasty too. The restaurant is very comfortable, calm environment and the staff is very friendly. Thank you 🤩

We had a great experience, we went as we just wanted to have a soup for dinner and the menu online listed a seafood soup. That soup was amazing, we both enjoyed it and recommend. We also had a couple of Aperols which would have preferred with more ice and prosecco. At the end they treated us with a nice shot of limoncello. Mimmo was of waiter and he did a fantastic job. All in all a nice experience.

Der Service und die Beratung waren hervorragend, die Atmosphäre des Restaurants ist elegant ohne zu erdrücken. Das Essen und der Wein zeugen von einer guten Auswahl der Qualität und Liebe in der Zubereitung. Wenn wir nochmal nach Mailand fahren, dann steht Settembrini 18 an der ersten Stelle für unsere Wahl eines sehr schönen Abend mit der Familie!

We booked this restaurant as it was close to Central station and 5 min walk from our hotel for our first night in Milan after 25 hour journey from Sydney. We were welcomed in straight away even though the restaurant had not yet opened. The writers were friendly and efficient and made excellent recommendations. I highly recommend the prawn salad to start followed by the most generous and tasty seafood spaghetti I’ve had! Lovely traditional Italian decor. We will definitely be back next time!
