We had a lovely dinner, the food was great and the service outstanding

Overrated. Food was average or below. Probably my least favorite meal during out 10 days in Italy. Not a good value. There are many better choices in the area.

Nothing special. Dishes were local and well presented but overall flavor was lacking. Ingredients also lacked freshness. Restaurant had no air conditioning and was very hot. Don’t go out of your way for this place.

The place was amazing; seriously, I would recommend it to anyone who could afford it. I'm not sure if I got 250 worth of food. Even when the food was excellent, I am sure that if we had known, we could have had a cheaper experience with similar food.

We recieved very good recomandations for vegitarian dishes.and I do not recomand for vegitarian nor vegan for this restaurant.

The food here was absolutely amazing. We had the short ribs with mashed potatoes and they just melt it in your mouth. Our waitress was so sweet and funny. We loved talking to her. Quiet area and a beautiful interior.

The food was delicious (portions were a little small) however the service was severely lacking. We did not feel welcome at this restaurant, a contrast to other experiences we had in Venice. Firstly, the server hardly said two words to us, no smiles and not friendly, and was curt when taking our orders. The restaurant was not busy yet no one came by to check how things were and we needed to flag someone down to simply get a bottle of water. The vibe was not good. It’s hard to explain but overall we just did not feel comfortable and felt like getting out of there right after we ate.

Service is excellent. The menu is good, but a bit limited. Some dishes were great, others just fine. It feels like they are trying a little too hard to innovate and miss a little.

The seafood pasta was absolutely delicious. I'm not a big fan of noisy restaurants, but this place had a calm and relaxing atmosphere, which made it very comfortable. The service was also attentive and polite. I'm curious to try other dishes on the menu, so I’d love to make a reservation and visit again.

A Memorable Dining Experience We recently visited this restaurant and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Despite being quite busy, the service was attentive and friendly, our servers made sure we felt well looked after throughout the evening. The ambiance was absolutely lovely, exactly as we had hoped. It struck the perfect balance between cozy and elegant, making it a wonderful spot for a special meal. The food was divine! We started by sharing mussels with bread, which were fresh and flavorful. For mains, I had the carbonara, which was traditionally authentic and absolutely delicious. My husband chose the beef cheeks with mash, tender, rich, and truly amazing. To finish, we shared a tiramisu that had a real wow factor, light, creamy, and the perfect end to our meal. A bottle of red Primitivo complemented everything beautifully and was the perfect finishing touch. The meal was very well priced, especially considering the quality and the fact that a 10% service charge was already included. Overall, a wonderful experience that we can’t wait to repeat!

All the dishes were good to ok. The recommendations in Michelin etc. we can't understand. ÄThe Menu sounds great and ambitious. The service was attentive, but no refills. Loud atmosphere. Very touristy and not authentic. We didn't have to make a reservation. The main course arrived two minutes after the pasta course had been cleared. After an hour we were finished with three courses. We wouldn't go back to this restaurant.

Vengo a Venezia più volte durante l'anno abitando a Udine e avendo studiato a Venezia anni fa. È sempre difficole trovare un ristorante dove il rapporto qualità prezzo e servizio ti soddisfa. L'Hosteria Osottoosopra è un posto dal quale si esce complettamente soddisfatti. COMPLIMENTI A TUTTO LO STAFF. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene ed il servizio è stato fenomenale. Bellissime Persone, professionali, sempre gentili che ti fanno sentire veramente bene. Ci siamo stati con degli amici inglesi ed i camerieri parlavano benissimo inglese cercando di venire incontro a tutti i nostri desideri. Grazie, continuate così bravissimi!!!!

Drinks: My Bellini was the best part of my meal Starters: artichokes- very cheese forward, an overpowering amount, you couldn’t paste much besides the cheese which was a negative for me Calamari- advertised as spicy, not spicy in the slightest Plates: seafood spaghetti- good, not bad, but also nothing special Bigoli: interesting dish, confused my senses, but was a good dish and a unique experience Overall, I was underwhelmed. For the restaurant having 4.8 stars on Google reviews I was expecting much more, but this ended up being the most forgettable dining experience so far in Europe.

The food service, and total experience was outstanding. We have been traveling Europe for a month now and our first day in Venice wanted something a little different from the standard fare. We found it. Every dish we had was a delight. After 30 on the road this spot goes right to #1 as my fav so far. Made reservations on line a few hours before our arrival.
