Group of 32 girls came in about 9pm. So loud that they had everyone running for the exits. Unfortunate when the young act as though they are the only ones in the restaurant.

Friendly and helpful service. Excellent food. Good atmosphere. We pre booked an outside table just to make sure. We recommend going to anyone but be prepared to pay a little bit more than in some other restaurants. We will be going again.

The waiters were really helpful. We popped along at lunchtime to make a reservation for that evening and to request a table outside. The waiter read us the specials which sounded so good we had two of the starters (stuffed zucchini flowers and squid with potatoes) and shared the special main (crab with spaghetti, lemon skin, pistachio and garlic) and they even split the pasta main for us. The wine and beer were good and the dishes were all of good quality and reasonable price.

I have eaten here before so I was really disappointed in this visit. The service was terrible. Waiter would not allow me to order house wine, Then when appetizers came, one of the items we ordered did not come out. After the appetizers, it took over 1 hour for our entrees to come out. Half of the restaurant was empty by then, not exactly busy. Everything was ordered at the same time so the time it took was unacceptable. 25 minutes into the wait of over an hour for the food, a different waiter came by and asked if everything was ok. I said, what do you mean ok? Our food has not arrived. 10 minutes later, we were told 2 more minutes for the food.... 20 minutes later, a beef filet came out. We did not order beef filet. They argued with us for a minute and left. 5 minutes later, 2 of the 5 entrees came out. 15 minutes after that, the other 3 entrees came out. Nobody apologized for the wait, mistake, or delay in bringing half of the food, then 15 minutes later the other half. Nothing was taken off of the $190 bill. The only thing that was given was customary Lemoncello shots. Needless to say, in the 10 days I have spent in Italy so far, this is the most disappointing experience we have had. I hope we don't experience this in the next 7 days.

Sublime come sempre... una lanterna...che illumina il palato ..accoglienza amichevole accompagnato da un ambiente piacevole..da consiglieare chi si trova a Sorrento...simply paradiso....ritornerò di sicuro.. Grazie

the food was cold,tasteless and unattractivly presented.we ordered fish fillet that came in some liquid and did not fill fresh and pork fillet that was cold and in the size of children menu.over all bad experience. not recommended

Locale molto curato ed accogliente, soprattutto all'interno. Pietanze assortite e nella norma della tradizione campana. Personale insufficiente rispetto al numero di presenze di clienti ai tavoli.

We always enjoy dinner at La Lanterna during our stay in Sorrento. Always great food and wonderful service every time we visit. We feel like family when we are here.

The pasta was excellent but the meat course was poor as was the service. There was a long wait between the courses. Wouldn't bother again

Een zeer typisch Italiaanse belevenis. Lekker en vers eten. Zeer goede en vriendelijke service. Up to date qua wetgeving hygiene en allergenen. Een aanrader in de avond sfeer van Sorento

L'ambiente nel ristorante era buona. Anche il cibo, particolarmente la pizza margherita, deliziosa! Il servizio era un po' largo. Comunque, la vostra sera e andata a buon fine.
