This was the most wonderful dining experience we had in 12 days in Italy. Everything was absolutely delicious, the service was perfect and the presentations amazing. We highly recommend! Can't wait to go back the next time we visit Venice!! Grazie mille!

Osteria Oliva Nera has delicious food and friendly service. I would recommend this to anyone local and visiting Venice. Let them make recommendations for you, but the zucchini flowers and raw seafood plate appetizers were amazing.

Very kind personal service and excellent cuisine as always in favourite restaurant in Venice. Recommending the fried fiori di Zucchini as appetizers, but everything else and afterwards is a true experience.

Very good restaurant, reasonably priced with great service from friendly staff. Very nice tables outside where you can watch the world go by. Recommended by a friend and were not disappointed.

Service was attentive, the food was excellent and the wine also lovely. Our first meal in Venice and was not bettered during our four night stay.

Our table was in the extension in the next building. There is no atmosphere whatsoever. One other couple was in there. Fortunately, we all spoke English, otherwise we might have left - the ambiance is as important as the food. The standard of cuisine was OK in places; good in others. Standouts were the lasagne, tiramisu with tuna just behind. Sea bass was average (slightly over cooked). Bigoli in salsa was way too salty for my taste - maybe Venetians like a lot of salt

Too expensive for the quality and portioning. It felt like it started off as a genuine Osteria and then got popular and expanded and became pretty much what I'd call a tourist trap. Tables are one inch away from each other, portioning very small for what is being charged, taste is very average and nothing special. Only good tastes are the desserts, which then are again overpriced at 12€ each

Genuine high quality food and excellent service in a quiet relaxed setting. A bit off the beaten track but well worth exploring. Would highly recommend!

This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The food is superb, the service cheerful and very helpful , the owner a very knowledgable lady who works very hard to please. Since our first visit in 2011 she has expanded the business but the food and service accorded to everybody is still personal and pleasing

Excellent and creative Food, very good Service- we will definitely be there again! Pay attention to the daily suggestions of the Chef: we had slowly cooked octopus which was phantastic!

The best in fine family dining one could hope for. From being seated to being farewelled with a parting gift, it was a wonderful experience without the pretentiousness of some places that refer to themselves as Fine Dining.

Arrived in Italy for the first time and We arrived half an hour early at the restaurant - absolutely no problem. The black fettuccini could quite easily be the one of the best dishes I have ever tasted!! The desert wine was beautiful, and a minature of olive oil as a present to take home - what a joy! Only orobkem is that this restaurant is 1 minute away from our apartment - we may not go to another during our stay!

Absolutely fantastic. It was a lovely experience overall. We were very pleased about the hospitality, food and atmosphere Lasagna was the best so far. Fried fish plate (lncluding plenty of scallops calamary anchovy etc.) was ecstatic and delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant.

La cucina veneta in versione elegante e raffinata. Eravamo in quattro e abbiamo provato il saor, baccalà mantecato, bigoli con salsa e vari dolci. Tutto perfetto. Attenzione molto buona, la padrona è presente in sala. Prezzo in pò elevato ma allineato alla classe del locale.

This was one of the nicest evenings spent in Venice. The staff are friendly and genuinely go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your experience. They are knowledgeable about the menu. The food itself is superb! We really loved how the dessert menu is presented and were touched to receive a small gift at the end of the evening. Would definitely recommend to others visiting Venice.
