For years, I used to go in this restaurant every time I come to Venice. I was very disappointed by the truffle pasta: pasta non al dente and it was not fresh truffle.....We are not sure we will come again

An elegant al fresco dining experience on the Giudecca Canal with an exquisite view! Excellent service and menu. It was wonderful to return to La Calcina and find that despite a change of ownership, the restaurant has not lost its high standard and warm charm.

We have dined here a number of times over the years. We have always recommended it to any friends or acquaintances who were visiting Venice. This ristorante was always our prime destination for this 3 day / 2 night little excursion from Campitello di Fassa during our 25th ‘residence’ as guida di sci. As always, perfetto!!!

Awesome place to have lunch. Great staff, from reception to waiters. Competent and friendly. The chef is an incredible capable one. We had our dog with us and ordered an item from the children's menu. He came personally to inquire about the order and make it t our specs. Has never happened before. A great place that we would come back many times. This was our second time there this year. Recommended, a real treasure. The food is presented impecable and with best quality and taste.

Wir hatten vier Gerichte, Spaghetti Frutti di mare und Tagliatelle Vongole. War beides hervorragend. Der Salat Ghambaretti hatte zuviel grün, der Zucchini Salat zu wenig grün. Aber in der Summe war es gut. Service sehr gut, Lage unschlagbar

Beautiful setting. Just make sure that if you book outside dining that you know there is 3e surcharge. Also, depending on time of year can get chilly after dark. That said. Just a fantastic, romantic place to have dinner. High quality food at a reasonable price. Wine list not extensive but some great selections and not over priced. Would definitely go back again

Beautiful location. Starters good. Zucchini salad was just cheese and masses of raw, sliced zucchini which was disappointing as we had assumed that it would be grilled or cooked somehow. Sadly not worth the prices.

A charming small hotel on the Zattere waterfront, traditional, historic but with modern facilities, excellent restaurant, thoroughly good value.

De locatie is natuurlijk top en het personeel zeer vriendelijk. Voor de kwaliteit die we kregen- en die was héél goed- betaal je in Antwerpen meer en uiteindelijk is dat maar een provinciestadje.

Great restaurant but the waitress didn't speak English and didn't listen to my attempts to explain what we wanted and as a result brought us liver instead of cod. It was delicious though. And I had the best risotto I have ever eaten.

Le plat commandé ne correspondait pas vraiment au plat reçu. La base était là mais l’accompagnement épinard ( comme indiqué dans le menu) n’y était Après avoir appelé un membre du personnel, il a dit que c’était comme ça , le menu a changé !!!! Un peu déçu, mais très bons plats et beau cadre.

We were very disappointed with the inability of the kitchen to cook our two courses in less than ninety minutes, especially as we had a shared cold starter. The house wine was off but we were charged for it in the final bill, in the end a reduction of 6 euros was offered but not before trying to fob us off with a limoncello instead. Poor performance and not a patch on the hotel we were staying in. We felt as if the restaurant didn't care.

Very nice spot on the waterfront. Excellent food. Good selection of Italian wines. Good service. It was a pity that we had to go inside because of the weather. We will be back.
