Excellent place for dinner. The tagliatelle with spider crab was outstanding. Asked the waiter for a split bottle of vino Bianco and it was a perfect compliment with the meal.

Its a busy place . We arrived and had a free " sangria" while waiting a few minutes for our table. Good menu choices, Food come thick and fast. All very nice although not outstanding. We had a sharing plate of cold meats to kick off then 4 mains of veal with polenta, sea bream , spaghetti and a steak. All fine. We ordered desserts and were then given" complimentary" glasses of grappa and a piece of chocolate cake . All fine as were the real desserts and coffee. The bill came to 190 Euros ( including service )and it just seemed a lot really . I was also unsure whether in the end I had actually paid for the grappa and cake ? There is nothing at all wrong with this place and I quite enjoyed it but I think you have to watch what you are ordering as the bill can mount up . House Wine was 26 Euros a bottle - not sure there was a cheaper option .

Very enjoyable, excellent service, food, staff and a buzzing atmosphere. Food was clearly very fresh and cooked to order. Always a plus point anywhere in the world

This seafood restaurant is awesome. They bring out a lot of little surprises on top of your meal including specialty drinks and dessert. The seafood was great.

Il pranzo discreto ma il servizio molto blando. Esempio hanno portato la bottiglia di vino già stappata, e ci hanno fatto vedere un pesce enorme cotto al forno e poi riportato nei 2 piatti una porzione non coerente con le dimensioni del pesce.

Expect typical Italian mayhem and disorganisation but when you sit down to eat the food will be great. Go with the flow and you'll have a great meal; just a little bit crazy!!

Amazing food and catered to my husband’s coeliac! Provided gluten free bread and pasta was to die for. My husband jokes he still has dreams about it 😂

Bizarre! Do not go here if you want a relaxed, enjoyable experience. Yes the food is tasty and good quality but it’s not fair to treat people in this way when they are paying good money to enjoy a special meal in a special city.

Beautiful setting outside beneath grape zones, friendly service and some of the best food we ate in Venice. The gluten free options were plentiful, and we loved the gluten free tiramisu.

Food was good, and they gave us samplings of pasta, risotto, and almond cake with shots of grappa. However, we felt as if we were being rushed (it is a small place) so they could seat the next group of patrons.

When we arrived they smashed the experience. They rush a lot to make the order and therefore made us order one dish for each one. We wanted to share but the waiter said no no no no. The food wasn’t a big thing. The complimentary dessert was good. But really not a good experience if you are looking for an italian experience.

Hot, stuffy, crowded, not good communication with customers, overpriced wine switch when we asked for house Chianti. Prawns are shrimp, NOT langoustine (scampi)- appetizer was wrong. Staff rude: kept trying to take the salt and olive oil and bread away!

It was our 1st time in Venice, we were looking for Restaurants with good service and reviews. We are really demanding when it comes to food and service but let me tell you that this place is Top Notch. The place was packed with locals and tourist that didn't stop them for making a memorial night for all os us , we were lucky enough to have our server named "Guido" he went above and beyond. it was genuine not staged or faked and he did it with all 3 tables that were next to us. He also gave us free shots of local drinks for starters, free deserts and free Grappa shots, the family next to us asked him " What's going on?" Meaning that neither they or the rest of us would find that kind of service or attentiveness in the USA. We did tip him but he wasn't expecting a tip, if you ever find yourselves in Venice this place is a must. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, the prices were incredible low compare to the USA, we ordered a 3 course meal with a bottle of Prosecco and it was less than expected. The Restaurant is really clean and I can't stress enough about the great great service. I'd rate this place a 10 Plus. Thank you Guido for making our evening an amazing experience, we'll be back next year. All the best!

Food was excellent. If you want a slow dinner this may not be the place for you as they rush you out the door.

We had an amazing time at Tratoria al Gazzettino. The staff was very courteous and attentative (we had to send them away several times while we made up our minds!) The food was delicious and they provided us with some nice after dinner drinks! Recommended!

We had a pretty long walk in Venice to reach this restaurant. It was hot and we were running late so walked at brisk pace. Then restaurant had poor air conditioning. But we were 20 minutes late and yet our reservation table for 6 was still held despite there being a line out back. Food was really excellent. Owner personally took interest that we tasted all his best dishes. Some of the extras were free like aperitif and dessert plate and some we paid like extra appetizers and upgraded wine. But overall it was a very good experience. Staff was very engaging and we knew all their names and that the owners wife is the dessert chef. They handed out Trip Advisor cards at end of meal and asked us to review our experience. It was a funny coincidence that we discovered that 3 tables (including ours) in this small restaurant were all from NJ dining in Venice. The power of the on line travel resources was obvious as this place ranked #2 seafood restaurant in Venice.

We were rushed out of the restaurant in less than 30 minutes. They try to make you fill okay about it by giving you cheap wine and grappa before and after. The gluten free gnocchi was not any good.

trattoria scoperta per puro caso consultando siti specializzati e leggendo recensioni lusinghiere che, a conti fatti, sono assolutamente meritate. proprietario gentilissimo e simpaticissimo (alla fine della cena ha addirittura omaggiato mia moglie di un pacco di pasta di gragnano: noi siamo napoletani ed amanti della pasta), personale cortese ed attento, cibo buono ed in quantità giusta cui si sono aggiunti gli ulteriori assaggi offerti dal titolare. prezzi giusti e nella norma ed ancora di più in una città non proprio economica come Venezia. consigliato

Posto stupendo. Si mangia benissimo tutto. Il personale è molto gentile e simpatico. C'era già stata in precedenza e sono tornata perché mi sono trovata bene. Lo consiglio.

Most of the food was good but not exceptional, however the service was excellent. The staff was fun and attentive, and really worked to make it a memorable dining experience. The lasagna was great.

Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere! Definitely a true Italian dining experience and would highly recommend trying this lovely restaurant! Especially enjoyed the pasta with garlic, oil and hot peppers.

Service is not sensitive at all. They just want you to consume and go. Food is ok but not extraordinary. Would not go there again. May 14, 2018

The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice and happy. The food is much less... The vegetable soup was very good, the brasaoula was nice. I ordered a simple steak and it was one of the worst I had in my life- dry and tasteless. The house wine was good and not too expensive.

this is a very nice and cozy place. Our family is big, children dont want to eat when we are traveling. but everyone wants to return here. It was very tasty, prepared quickly. recommend to visit. And lovely compliments at the end in the form of a cookie and chocolate cake - an excellent end. Yes, and it's better to book a table :)

Osteria piccola ma ospitale. Piatti vari ma con presenza di ottime proposte locali. Qualità del cibo molto buona e servizio attento e cordiale. Certamente da provare visti anche i prezzi corretti per la zona centrale dove si trova il locale.

Abbiamo prenotato e nn ci hanno neanche chiesto il nome... Posto carino..unica pecca.. i camerieri urlavano tra di loro per problemi di lavoro.. Questo davanti ai clienti.. Il piatto di pasta di mio figlio era buono.. Mentre gli gnocchi che ho preso io erano insapore.. Rapporto qualità prezzo abbastanza deludente.. Personale non molto cortese

Fantastic little place - full of character and as hectic and lively as so many of these tiny Venetian restaurants. Our various spaghetti dishes (carbonara, truffle and clam) were all fresh and delicious and the Rose was superb. If you haven't booked, as we hadn't on our first visit, be prepared to 'queue' (to us Brits) outside or crowd around the entrance to the Italians, in the tiniest of streets! That said, they hand out wine and pasta while you wait, which is a lovely touch, and they forget nobody who is waiting outside. They simply do not want you to leave and will cram you in even after 9:30 in the evening. Don't be surprised if you are shepherded through the main restaurant and straight back outside to another side street that leads to their overflow restaurant - this one feels just like you are sitting in Mamma's kitchen, complete with a small serving area and wooden tables & chairs overlooking a canal. Here, the waiters and waitresses receive the food from next door! We ate in both areas and both were Irresistibly charming and authentic - a real treat.

Good food and plenty of it. Very nice owner, good atmosphere in the restaurant was good fun. Only one negative and that was the courses were served too quickly. Zero time between courses served.

Essen sehr gut, preis Leistung passt für Venedig ( vs 18,hs 18), Prosecco empfehlenswert, gab Kostproben und großes Dessert inkl Grappa auf Haus, liegt abseits von Hauptpfad aber weg lohnt sich, einziges Manko wollten um 22:30 zumachen daher kam Hauptgang schon während man noch Vorspeise as, fühlte sich richtig gedrängt beim Essen, das mindert Gesamteindruck stark und das ist schade

Wonderful dinner. The food was fabulous and the owners of the restaurant made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to accommodate a food allergy. The best food we had in Venice.

Although the food was good we were taken by surprise by the service. The restaurant came highly recommended as having a good understanding of gluten free service and food. A server or maybe even the owner was yelling and in general made us feel uneasy. They kept bringing out small plates of food in between what we ordered. We were hoping to have fried calamari but were told we couldn’t have that GF so we cancelled it. It came anyway but was grilled. We had ordered caprese instead and then had both. It was to much food and not really what we wanted. Our pastas were good and the amount of food was larger than we are used to. We had been on a 10 day trip in Italy and this was the only meal we felt concerned about and after getting through it we have had some pretty good laughs about it but I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
