Ristorante Bruno

Difficult review for me - I want to commend the staff members who were incredibly busy on a Saturday night. They raced back and forth trying to take care of customers and turned away many more people who stopped by but did not have reservations. However, the food was disappointing. The were out of the first two items we selected. The seafood pasta had very little seafood in it and the second pasta dish was also not good. Perhaps an off night in the kitchen.

The view was incredible; however we waited for over an hour for our main entrees. The service was quite slow.

It goes without saying that the view at Bruno is spectacular. But we were somewhat disappointed in the food. My boyfriend got a steak with Tomato sauce which came very fatty and chewy. My pasta was extremely oily to the point I was trying to drain it out! Again, the view was very nice. I enjoyed a lovely glass of wine and enjoyed a tomato and mozzarella starter. But just disappointed in both our main courses.

We were seated at the view side. With if half an hour the place was full. The best meal we had in Positano. My vegan husband got a bean dish that was just perfect. Rich in flavor and seasoned to perfection. The beans were cocked just right. The spinach was delicious. I had home made gnocchi with sea food and shall fish. I Savored every bite. We chose wine by the glass some 2015 red wine from toscani , I wish I made a point of remembering. I Would love to come back to this place.

In general was very good. Strange eating next to a busy street. Toward the end of the meal the service slowed down and so we got dessert elsewhere. I would come again.

Pasta under cooked. Lobster not prepared correctly. Wait staff more interested in talking to girls on the street. Very loud and rushed. More like a pizza place. Go up the street to Casa Mele for an outstanding QUIET and relaxed Italian dinner.

The experience was mediocre. Nothing we’re angry about...just nothing like we expected. The food was ok. Nothing was spectacular. The fish was nothing that any seafood restaurant anywhere couldn’t create. The pasta was very good, but again nothing special. Service was very inattentive. The staff seemed very keen to engage with certain other tables that the staff knew or had built rapport with prior to that night, so no one really came to check on us or to allow us to order more food. It was certainly not worth the price, and we would not dine there again.

Incredible view, relaxed staff (we also thoroughly enjoyed seeing how much they love their jobs, interacting with locals was lovely!) food was traditional, and tasty. Book for sunset in advance and soak it in. Stunning.

The food was over priced, my mom’s portion was small compared to other people and she paid 19 euros for it! There was a bad shrimp in our food and it just wasn’t worth the money and the hype. Never again
