Our "go to" restaurant in central Florence. Open all hours. Just reliably good, honest Tuscan food and very good house wines and extensive wine list for the more adventurous. Great focaccia for the table. Reliable, welcoming, efficient service. Great value for money.

Lo Scudo Ristorante Firenze is a small nice place where you can find good and tasty italian dishes such as pasta and pizza or even dishes with meat. A good experience!

Matteo was a great waiter and the food was terrific.

We made reservations for dinner and we had a nice table in a quiet part of the restaurant. My partner had the honey glazed filet mignon and she said it was one of the best steaks she’s ever had . She’d know because she’s a gourmet chef. My chicken dinner was beautifully spiced and delicious. We finished our meal with the panacotta desert. All told it was excellent meal with a staff that was friendly and accomodating. An excellent dinner on our last night in Florence

Best pasta of our trip! Food was amazing. The service was perfect - our waiter was knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome! Even gave us a great gelato recommendation and a special cake for our honeymoon :)

Many dishes were good but some were ordinary.Especially, in hindsight, should not order fish at An inland restaurant that specializes in meat. Would like to go back to try the Florentine beef. Another table ordered it and it looked great.

We enjoyed our experience at Lo Scudo. The staff was very nice. We called because it was very cold outside and we wanted to go in before our reservation time. They were very accommodating. We tried their Caesar salad with chicken - very good, and each had a difference pasta dish. All were excellent. I would certainly recommend it.
