Milano is a fabulous eating city but it can be hard to find seafood restaurants. We were so happy to find this one and in the beautiful suburb of Brera. The seafood platter was just divine - a selection of mostly raw fish and seafood. We sat outside and even on a rainy night we were able to enjoy being 'al fresco' in Italia. Can't wait to return

Il Cestino is a very well located restaurant in an area full of life and cultural streets. The food was fantastic and the personnel nice given the fact that it was a very busy time of the day.

Ich habe bei der Reservierung nett gebeten, den Tisch für den 30. Geburtstag meiner Freundin nur ein bisschen zu schmücken - davon NICHTS zu sehen. Wir hatten einen super unsympathischen Kellner, der sich, WÄHREND man mit ihm gesprochen hat, einfach direkt wieder umgedreht hat, uns den kleinsten Tisch gegeben hat, obwohl wir etwas mehr bestellt haben, den Tisch nicht freigeräumt hat nach der Vorspeise und generell einfach so schien, keine Lust auf seinen Job zu haben. Nicht einmal wurden wir gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist, nicht einmal wurde sich dafür entschuldigt, dass wir über eine Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet haben. Das wichtigste für den Kellner war am Ende nur, dass das Geld gepasst hat und, dass Trinkgeld mit dabei war - nichts da. Nicht einen Cent bekommt er für so einen schlechten Service. Für mich absolut peinlich gewesen, meiner Freundin zum 30. Geburtstag so eine miserable Erfahrung zu bieten. Danke für nichts!

this restaurant is located in the heart of Brera, with lovely staff and unique Brera atmosphere. Every year we are visiting Milan for Salone Design week and visiting II Cestino is on the list.

Tabeer was a great server. I noted our celebration of our anniversary when I made the reservation which was not acknowledged when we arrived and was disappointing. Host was not friendly. Had to tell server about anniversary because no one told him.

Food was excellent. Service gives the vibe of a very cheap place . The waiter was lazy and was not really willing to serve customers. Also, you need to pay attention to the receipt, the waiter added an €8 item that we didn’t ask for and he claimed it was by mistake when we asked him to double check.
