Osteria Alla Frasca

Booking was very easy and we were given a choice of outdoor tables. Wait staff was attentive, suggested excellent wines, split dishes when we asked. Recommended by our VRBO host and the Basilica tour guide. Our first meal in Italy!

The wait between antipasti and primi was too long. Food was very good though

This is great little restaurant tucked away in Cannaregio and although the menu is small, the size of the dishes is not! The seafood dishes we had (grilled octopus & scampi, seared tuna and grilled sea bass) were beautifully prepared and delicious. The service was prompt and attentive and the outdoor setting is very picturesque. We had a delightful dinner would definitely return.

Actually I like the locations, quiet and nice spot to enjoy the dinner away from the crowd. Regarding the food it was delicious and yummy. The portions are okay and the price is reasonable not over priced. The staff is so friendly and I really liked the entire experience

Il gran antipasto con prodotti veneziani era unico e dal sapore fresco, i piatti di pasta erano leggeri e deliziosi, il tiramisù era paradisiaco. Nice place, kinda shabby chic, food was good, wine a bit overpriced (30 euro for a very ordinary Merlot which I doubt would have cost more than 6 euro and usually we know wine markups are very reasonable in Italy). We enjoyed our lunch but it didn't amaze us. Staff were sweet. 126 euro for 2 anti pasti, one primi and a secondo, one okish bottle of wine and one coffee? Quite pricey.

Fantastische, authentische Speisen, insbesondere die Fisch-Gerichte und das Tiramisu waren ganz ausgezeichnet, angenehmer und freundlicher Service in ungezwungener, wenig touristischer Atmosphäre. Das Lokal selbst ist ebenfalls sehr charmant. Die Osteria alla Frasca ist alles in allem auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, und bietet insgesamt ein hervorragendes Erlebnis. Ich würde immer wieder hier her kommen, wenn ich in Venedig bin!

Osteria Alla Fransca was a wonderful “hole in the wall” style experience. The dining experience was beyond pleasant and the small cozy atmosphere was absolutely lovely. The waitstaff were more than welcoming and accommodating. The food itself went above and beyond in flavor. Would definitely recommend for both atmosphere and food.
