My fiance and I had a great dinner experience at Osteria dei Cappellari on our last night in Rome! The cozy atmosphere made us feel welcome and the authentic Roman food options were some of the best we had over our whole week-plus long trip across Italy. Highly recommend the pastas as well as the oxtail vaccinara!

The oxtail (coda alla vaca) was delicious. Charming restaurant and great food, grazie mille!

Semplicemente sublime. Ero già stato due volte ed i Cappellari non tradiscono mai. In tre abbiamo preso tutti i piatti tradizionali della cucina romana (gricia, trippa, coda, saltimbocca): uno migliore dell'altro. Segnalo anche un ottimo primo di pesce. Servizio professionale, rapido e con la giusta dose di confidenza. Il proprietario si è intrattenuto chiedendo le nostre impressioni e raccontando la sua filosofia gastronomica. Consigliatissimo. Provare per credere.

A great little restaurant in the center of Rome. Had wonderful Time! ,

Food was good and overall experience was positive. When already too far from the restaurant we noticed they mixed tables and we ended up paying the bill of the table next to ours (there were 4 of them and just 2 of us). At the desk we repeated the number given by the Waiter, we paid without being asked to double check and we went outside. Staff should know how to count tables to avoid such inconveniences!

Our server was excellent and provided the utmost service during our meal. The food was incredible.

We were staying up the street and wanted to try some local spots. After looking at Sevetal places in the area we decided on Osteria DEI Cappellari. We were lucky to make a reservation on line same day. The restaurant is very quaint and the food was delicious but the service was amazing! We felt like we were eating at someone’s family’s house. Everyone made use feel welcomed and had excellent suggestions for food and wine.

Eravamo già stati a mangiare li e ci eravamo trovati molto bene. Anche questa volta le nostre aspettative non sono state disattese. Cortesia , piatti abbondanti, e cucina strepitosa. Da provare la panzanella , a mio parere eccezionale!!

Wonderful! Great dinner and the tiramisu and molten chocolate cake were divine.

They messed up our reservation saying we had 2. But still accommodated us after much eye rolling. Second the waiter forgot my drink which is fine I was able to make a second request but he also brought me the wrong dish. I advised I had order gnocchi with mussels no the Gricia which I tested and it was horribly salty. The waiter argued that I was wrong but ultimately sent it back for the correct sodas. Got to watch my sister and mother finish their meals when mine was finally delivered. I got to eat while they waited the food is so salty here. My sisters lasagna was awfully salted as well. The aperol was the only thing good, the bread was not at all fresh which is honestly pathetic. There are so many good places to eat and this is not it. They act like they are exclusive but this is not a good place to go for Roman Italian, and the staff was rude apart from the kitchen runners. Glad to never come back here

In de achtbaan! Voortreffelijk voorgerecht en de lekkerste huiswijn die ik ooit proefde (50% sangiovese) voor de beste prijs. Ajjjjj… filetto te lang gebakken… Heel jammer van het heerlijke vlees. Daarna weer goedgemaakt met een klassieke Tiramsiu en Panna Cotta. En een grappa. Normaal van het huis, nu even niet. Erg leuke bediening, niet door iedereen.

A recommander. Nourriture excellente. Prix très modestes. Accueil et service gentils. Allez-y vous ne regretterez certainement pas.
