Leider stand die Tür immer offen und es kam ziemlich kalt von draußen herein. Auf unsere Bitte, wurde sie kurz geschlossen, war dann aber wieder offen, weil das Essen aus der Küche wohl über die Straße getragen werden muss.

Average nothing special pasta was a bit bland, bronzino was a bit dry a lil overcooked, and the lamb . Seems to be just the average tourist trap. Was quite overpriced for the quality sadly. Overall it was edible at best.

Phenomenal meal with some of the best wine we’ve had! We were late for our reservation due to a storm, but Isabella did not mind at all, and made sure we still had the full dining experience. Don’t miss out.

Teuer aber sehr gut- für Venedig nicht selbstverständlich. Traditionelle Italienische Küche mit venezianischen Einschlag auf ausgezeichnetem Niveau ohne Schnörkel von freundlichen, witzigem mehrsprachigen Personal bedient verheißt einen angenehmen Abend.

The food was absolutely delicious – from the "sweet & sour over polenta" antipasto to the lasagne and the salmon "cooked at a low temperature." We finished off with an "exploding" chocolate cake and fresh berries soaked in port wine with gelato. The owner even recommended the perfect bottle of local white wine to accompany the meal. The food experience couldn't be beat! The staff was well trained, friendly, and attentive. Not being made of money, it was by far the most expensive meal we ate during our extended travels through Northern Italy, but we all agreed it was worth it!

We loved our dinner. The owner is warm and very helpful. The meal was delicious and our evening was perfect! Down to her walking us through the narrow paths to a private water taxi she had arranged for us. Highly recommend dinner at Osteria Oliva Nera!

The staff - thoughtful, intelligent girls, dressed like Diana Rigg in the Avengers - are magnificent. Wine list interesting and fairly priced. Superb zucchini flower starters. Main courses very good, but vegetate an unfamiliar prospect! Desserts absolutely mind-blowing. Charming, stylish, modern and a very ‘together’ place.

The owner helped us with our wine and dinner choices and they were excellent. I had the venison and my husband ordered the salmon. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and extremely fresh. This restaurant came highly recommended by friends who ate here a year ago, and it did not disappoint!

Very good food but quality of service was appalling We had a very pleasant time with you 3 yrs ago and was looking forward to a pleasant night again. Unfortunately we were ignored most of the evening, we were left without drinks and waited 1 hr 15 mins for our main course. Not really acceptable I'm afraid. There won't be a third visit.

This is a must go to restaurant. I had the venison which the best ever. Very tender and done perfectly My wife had the lasagna which was so good 😊. Isabella is a wonderful host. The experience was perfect

Lovely restaurant. Great service. Our starters were so delicious. I had asked whether I could have polenta with a tomato sauce but hadn’t imagined a bowl of soft liquidy polenta and a bowl of sauce separately. The sauce was delicious but as a combination it didn’t work. My husband’s fish was cold. Lovely staff and owner but dissapointed in our mains.

We DEFINITELY recommend this restaurant! Our server was very nice and the food was fabulous! Our favorite in Venice! My husband is a meat eater and my daughter and I eat a mainly vegetarian diet and all were impressed. Their wine recommendation was excellent too! The atmosphere is quaint and it's just off the touristy areas which was just what we were looking for. If we were staying longer, we would absolutely have had dinner there again.

Had wonderful tuna and a great bottle of local white. Followed by a huge and fabulous tiramisu. Atmosphere perfect, we sat inside as it was a chilly day but that was great

The host was excellent and efficient in view of how busy the restaurant was. I told her I visited her restaurant with my daughter Olivia 10 years ago, and commented how much we loved their own label Oliver oil she gave us then. The food was fantastic, particularly the starter of Baked Zucchini flowers was so delicious same high standard as 10 years ago. The sea bass was delicious and the service was very good. Will definitely visit the restaurant again on our next visit to Venice.
