We were blown away by our dining experience at Ristorante da Mario Alla Fava. It was truly an experience. Our waiter Luca was so passionate, informative and attentive during our visit and the food was incredible. My husband and I took Luca’s recommendation of doing the tasting menu from the Vegan menu, and each tried different items. Every course was beautiful and delicious, and like nothing we had ever seen anywhere else. The desserts were also gorgeous and amazing. Luca also recommended a champagne to pair with our meal and it was incredible. The ambience of the restaurant is also perfect - old Italy character and charm with modern touches. Truly a vegan fine dining experience. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is a real treat for vegans and sea food lovers alike. I went with my daughter who is a vegan and she was delighted with the stuffed zucchini flowers, the paccheri al pomodoro and the coconut chantilly dessert. Seafood is also delicious, I went for the Venetian starters and an amazing branzino toll. Service was really nice, they were chatting with us and offered a Limoncello. This is not some simple trattoria but a restaurant with a very passionate chef. It is worth every penny.

We ate from the vegan menu. The appetizer — zucchini blossoms— was very good. The pasta with mushrooms was also very tasty. The farro pasta was a bit dense and needed more flavor. One other thing—we found sexist to give my wife a menu without prices. Not cool.

Great place in Venice. Certainly I recommend ir for a good Tiramissu.

Es war wunderbar und "urchig". Man fühlte sich als wären in diesem Restaurant schon die wichtigen Leute essen gewesen, es "trieft" quasi Geschichte aus jeder Pore. Das vegane wie auch das Meeresfrüchteessen waren herrlich. Einzig der vegane Früchtedessert war nicht unser Geschmack. Dafür konnte unsere kleine Tochter beim Desser erstellen zuschauen, das passiert inmitten der Leute. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Ich hatte selten so einen leckeren veganen Tomaten-Teigwaren-Salat. Er schmeckte mit jeder Gabel nach Italien!

We had a week in Venice, and ate here the first night and last night - the best food we had all week. Service was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.

Well, for 53€ (= a main course + 1/2 bottle of wine + 1/2 a bottle of water + a dessert), I expected high quality. And the main course (spaghetti vegan at the truffle) was just OK, not awfully bad, but really not a delight. I came there after reading top criticisms and I'm clearly disappointed... :( Luckily one of the waiters was adorable and the others were professionnal and friendly.

Mittelmäßiges Essen, dafür sehr teuer, außer der Wein, der war gut und günstig. Personal sehr freundlich. Waren dort wegen der veganen Auswahl, war aber beides mittelmäßig (vegan und nicht vegan) Ist eher eine Touristenfalle.

The service was HORRIBLE. Inside our dessert a really long HAIR came out. And after we warned the waiter, he started yelling at us. It was disrespectful, unprofessional, and extremely rude. Plus, they brought the main dish and the starter together, the meat we ordered wasn’t warm. It was the WORST experience. We all felt so ashamed when the waiter started yelling at us because we were unhappy about our desert.

Passano gli anni, ma quando mia moglie ed io torniamo a Venezia, non perdiamo l'occasione di ritornare da Mario alla Fava. Il menu' e' sempre molto interessante, come pure la carta dei vini.
