The Court Cocktail Bar

Great bar. They welcome you with a glass of sparkling wine and lots of appetizers. We ordered their scapece gyozas and sushi roll. The gyozas were delicious. The drinks are excellent and the view is perfection.

Rushed to leave, would have been liked to be told not to order more drinks - waste of the €30 unable to finish

Une expérience à vivre au moins une fois dans sa vie. Cadre superbe, accueil digne d’un prince et surpris par le rapport qualité /prix; bien que ça ne soit pas donné, ça vaut vraiment le coup.

I had a seat where people constantly got up and took a picture next to our spot so that was the only thing that I disliked that we kept feeling like we weren’t having the same private experience as others. We were very fortunate to get a front seat though!

Unbelievable views of the coliseum,amazing drinks in a beautiful bar with great service! A definite must when visiting Rome!

While our visit could have been great, unfortunately it started off on a very sour note. On time for our booked table, we had to wait in a line to be taken into the bar. When we got to the front, I was pulled to the side of the line (in front of everyone) and told that my shoes - which were leather platform sandal style and quite dressy, paired with tight black pants, a lace top and black blazer - were tantamount to flip flops as far as the venue was concerned and they would have to 'get approval' from their manager to let me in. This was while women wearing completely flat, casual sandals were allowed inside and taken to their seats. After having to wait for some time, we were finally let inside, but were then told to wait at the top of the stairs before entering the bar... Finally we were inside and were taken to our seats - one of few seats in the venue where you actually can't see the Colosseum unless you stand up and walk around. I ordered a glass of wine for a ridiculous 22 Euro, only 2 Euro less than the cocktails, only because I didn't want to be charged the 75 Euro cancellation fee if I decided to walk out. From then on, it really didn't matter what the service was like as I was so insulted for having been shamed for what I was wearing (which was quite a bit more fancy than most of the other patrons). I'd also like to point out that The Court is absolutely NOT a rooftop bar - it is actually located at ground level.

The view exceeded expectations. We were lucky to receive front row seats. Cocktail menu was very limited when we went, but we enjoyed the drinks we had.

It was fabulous thank you! So inviting and so relaxing, the view was amazing a great experience and one not to be missed if venturing to Rome.

Our reservation was for 8 PM. We got right in and were able to watch the sun set behind the Colosseum, which was awesome. The complimentary appetizer tray was really nice, the wine fabulous and the service superb!!

Wir waren rundum zufrieden mit der Bar. Mein Freund hatte sich einen außergewöhnlichen Cocktail von der Karte bestellt, welcher Ihm leider nicht zusagte, es war allerdings kein Problem diesen umzutauschen ohne Extrakosten. Daher nur zu empfehlen.

The cocktails are amazing. The appetizers can be improved a bit. We were a bit disappointed that the view of the Coloseum is from the side and not frontal as it seems like in the website. Overall worth the experience.

Staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. The snacks with the drinks were a pleasant surprise and very tasty. The Roman martini was excellent but quite small. The mango cocktail was too sweet for my wife’s taste but when you’re trying new cocktails it’s hard to know whether they suit your taste. The biggest disappointment was the view. Unless you had one of the front row seats the view was very limited. The seats felt like they were set up cinema style and we were in the very back row with an awning covering most of the view. I also thought it was a roof top and would be elevated but it wasn’t. You get equally if not better views from one of the many small restaurants around the colosseum (and their drinks won’t be 27 euros). Also the music was not great.

What an incredible view with even better cocktails. I would highly recommend checking out The Court when you are in Rome.

We came here for cocktails at nighttime. We loved our drinks and the evening view of the Colosseum was beautiful. Would love to revisit on our next trip to Rome.
