personale molto gentile, cibo buono. Hanno portato qualche piccola portata in più' all'inizio e alla fine della cena con assaggi (salati e poi dolci) simpatici

Really enjoyed this Trattoria. They serve honest, unpretentious food and do it very well. Very friendly and really care about their customers. Would happily return and pleased to recommend it.

The food was good. Presentation good. Staff was very nice, gave complimentary drinks and dessert tastings. The restaurant is split in two locations. We were seated in the smaller separate area, so it was a distraction and detracted from the dinng experience. Maybe ask to be seated in the main location as that looked a bit nicer.

Ho trascorso una Piacevole serata in un contesto veramente caratteristico. Il personale gentile è molto attento e s more presente, il titolare gentile e simpatico ti guida nella scelta dei piatti, veramente ottimi alternandoli con piccoli assaggi a sorpresa. Consigliato ma prenotate sempre per non trascorrere lunghe attese in un vicolo (anche se con un bicchiere di vino e assaggini vari).

Great place, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. We had a chance to try some of venetian cuisine and we really enjoyed our time at Al Gazettino

Food is average to poor. Try to give you a lot of freebies - a cheap bit of cake and some grappa does not compensate. Main restaurant was full so took us to a side restaurant which was empty - no atmosphere.

Dinner was fantastic - again! We went there last year already and came back as we liked it so much! We were not disappointed! Definitely recommendable

Esageratamente caro per la qualità del cibo e l’ambiente modesto. Va considerato che siamo in centro a Venezia, ma spendere 210 euro in 4 e far pagare una bottiglia di vino di loro produzione 30 euro, mi è sembrato davvero esagerato, e sono abituata ai prezzi di Firenze!

We were really disappointed. We had an Antipasto (3 kinds of shell seafood), lobster noodles and scallo and spider crab noodles, and ordered prosecco. The scallops is overcooked and hard to taste. Lobster noddles has very little taste and little lobster meat. Also, we had the worst prosseco one can have in such "famous" restaurant. The food cost us 80 euro which doesn't make any sense at all. The waiters kept telling people how many minutes were left for their table and how many people were still waiting outside so the customer should go immediately after they finish dinner. Such a bad experience.

Very friendly and buzzy atmosphere. Great home cooking. Complementary liqueurs and cake. Recommended if you are looking for an authentic experience at a reasonable price.

Enjoyable meal, authentic and good quality, with really sweet and attentive service. We were continually brought thoughtful little extras that were all complimentary, but which really added to the overall experience.

It’s a trap for tourists. First they tried to move us to a second place with tiny tables, we decided to leave, then there was space in the main room. They take the plates to the other room, so the door is open very frequently. A place to avoid in winter or in any season

Food was Great , the Owner is one hell of a character and constantly offering small morsels from the kitchen that they are cooking at the time. One small criticism is the speed of service is lightening fast, from arriving to leaving with 3 plates each under 1 hour. It's not the sort of place to tuck your feet under the table and enjoy a 2nd bottle of vino . Probably one of the problems in Venice , the restaurants are small and rely on several covers per night per table. Despite that , the food could not be faulted , seriously top drawer home Italian cooking.

the service was done aiming for a quick rotation of the tables this detracted from the dinner tasting, we felt pushed out, coerced to vacate quickly. was not given time to decide the choice of the dish, in some moments had 4 hands putting or taking things off the table. in summary, horrible !!!

Wow! An amazing ristorante with gluten free options. The tiramisu was amazing, the arrabiatta pasta was excellent. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and gave us samples of menu items. We were seated in the dining room on the canal with views of gondolas passing by as we ate. An unforgettable experience all around!!

True Italian hospitality, great food and dining right beside the canal was exceptional. Would recommend this place to anyone who is in Venice and wish to experience true Italian.

Great little family run restaurant!! Appetizers outside while waiting and a welcome drink for free as well as fruit wine and a dessert example. I have been here about 10 times and the food is great too! A hidden gem in Venice.

We felt very rushed. The staff were friendly, and free dessert, gift of pasta was nice, but we couldn't relax and enjoy our food because they clearly wanted to turn over the table.

We were treated with very warm and attentive service. We are a family of 4, with two teenage children. We really enjoyed our meals, and our teens say that it was their favorite restaurant in Venice. They had a pasta, their favorite food! One of us has a gluten sensitivity(adult), and so had the gluten-free pasta, which was very good. One of the adults had the curry, and a seafood soup, and was very pleased with both. I wish we would have come to this restaurant sooner, so we could return during this trip. We will likely return, as we will be back to visit Venice regularly(family live in area). We recommend this place!

Great food and excellent atmosphere. Try the pasta with crab! They served us gnocchi and wine even when wevwere waiting outside. Superb quality and definitely reccomnended.

Touristic restaurant. Food was great however we were literally pushed out of our space because a big group was coming. Asking kindly would have been nice.

The food was great and service was good but we felt a bit rushed. In addition to what we ordered, they brought out pasta samples, complimentary after dinner wine and liquor, and cake and cookies. The waiter kept trying to take our plates away before we were finished.

che dire,"mister" gazzettino è un portento:aperitivo(gratuito)nella calle,con assaggi,in attesa del tavolo(prenotato).cucina veloce e buona(senza fronzoli ma badando al sodo) in un locale piccolo ma accogliente e ricco di storia locale e recente.conto giusto per la media fatta tra alcuni ricarichi eccessivi sui piatti e piccoli sconti fatti(caffè+grappino+biscotti offerti).unico grande neo la troppa fretta di servire per liberare i tavoli,ma comunque sempre con battute e sorrisi in allegria.
