This hidden gem has been in business for decades (I first ate here as a college student 51 years ago!) and it continues to serve excellent, authentic Roman and Italian dishes that are fresh and savory. So happy it’s still here and hasn’t changed. Tucked away in a small piazza (Piazza Sforza Cesarini), the food is fresh and delicious, the service prompt, kind and professional, and the experience is quintessentially Roman. Had a fabulous fettucine ai funghi porcini, where the fresh porcini mushrooms were plucked from the stack proudly displayed on a table at the door. Si mangia bene qui!

Il proprietario Luigi è molto gentile e bravo a gestire bene. I piatti sono buonissimi. Il cameriere può essere più amichevole come proprietario anche a giapponesi che non parlano le lingue inglese o italiano.

Avevo ottimi ricordi di Luigi ma sinceramente l'ho trovato "nella media", ha assunto un'atmosfera da locale turistico dove i clienti sono casuali e non torneranno mai più... cibo buono ma non indimenticabile, servizio attento e simpatico.

I have been dining at da Luigi for 22 years in my regular travels to Rome. I cannot recommend this restaurant more! From the owner to the wonderful waiters, the experience is one of family and wonderful food. You simply must have a pranzo or cena at da Luigi when you are next in Rome. Buon apetito a tutti!! This place is a little tired. The food is not bad, but it is not at all great. I would rate it up B minus. Too much sauce. Our grilled vegetables came cold and we had to send them back. We had a decent Half bottle of red wine at €20. The grill pumpkin leaves with cheese and anchovies were good. Our main courses were OK. You can do better. You can also do worse.

Good food and excepcional service! Recommend this place for a lunch or dinner for sure. Lovely terrace surrounded by trees
