Il Groto é un posto bellissimo immerso in Valpolicella, consiglio il dehors sotto la vite a pergola. Il personale é estremamente attento, gentile e preparato, noi festeggiando un compleanno abbiamo ricevuto anche qualche "coccola " a sorpresa della festeggiata. Carta dei vini eccellente e piatti gustosi. Porzioni più che giuste. Consigliatissimo! Era la seconda volta ma non sarà l'ultima :)

We had a table at their garden which was beautiful. The service was excellent and friendly and the 5-course degustation lunch menu was delicious. Also the wine pairing was successful. Absolutely worth of visiting even though it is 30 minutes drive from Verona.

Excellent experience and we will come back next year for sure. This has been the third time we had our dinner here.

Für uns der erste Besuch nach mehreren Jahren und wir waren genauso begeistert wie früher. Die neue Inhaberin Judy hat die exquisite Küche von Giorgio perfekt weitergeführt und mit kreativen Gerichten weiterentwickelt. Von den Antipasti, unter den Primi besonders ihre Interpretation von Pasta e fagioli und den Secondi mit Perlhuhn mit eEingelegten Waldpilzen bzw. Entenbrust mit süss-sauren Zwiebelchen und Rosinen. Sehr empfehlenswert auch die Weinbegleitung, die einen guten Eindruck vor Qualität der Valpolicella-Weine bis hin zum Amarone bietet. Zum Schluss durften wir noch einen zweiten Amarone (von Le Ragose) probieren, was uns dann dazu veranlasst hat, am nächsten Tag auch das Weingut hoch in den Valpolicella-Hügeln zu besuchen (hohe Qualität zu moderaten Preisen). Ein beeindruckendes Erlebnis, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Unser Aufenthalt war von A-Z perfekt. Freundliche Begrüssung mit Aperitif, Vorstellung des Menüs, Weinberatung (Tipp für einen lokalen Kleinhändler anstatt des „Grossen“ und erst noch billiger), bringen der Speisen, Qualität der einzelnen Gänge - einer besser als der nächste und das alles zu einem unschlagbaren Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Judy du machst alles richtig! Wir kommen wieder 😋

Good quality food and also super Valpolicella wines. Not always a perfect combination in one course, so there is room for improvement. Atmosphere is nice and the service is top.
