Osteria Ballarò

Die Vorspeisen kamen nach 1 Minute. Der Hauptgang sollte dann nach einer kurzen Pause kommen. Wieder war das Essen viel zu schnell da; und ging noch mal zurück, um später wieder zu kommen. Der Kabeljau war zu lasch gewürzt. Der Sommelier war genervt, obwohl ich nur eine einzige Frage gestellt habe. Insgesamt enttäuschend.

Prezzi alti , non bisogna farsi ingannare dalla parola "osteria". Ristorante di alto livello sia nei prezzi, servizio, impiattamento e qualità del cibo.

Fantastic discovery. You can attend this restaurant if you're looking for something casual, but good quality and atmosphere, all the way up to an important business dinner. The main dining room is gorgeous and spacious. Service was excellent and the food was very good. It does have a unique menu

Eating Sunday lunch in a civilised space where almost all tables were occupied by intergenerational local families and where everyone was talking to each other with not a single smartphone in sight was delightful in itself. However, the food and the wine on offer were exquisite. We would happily come to Palermo again, just to savour the glorious cooking of the Osteria Ballaro. And thank you for impeccable and knowledgeable service!

it was a birthday dinner, all was great, except I was surprised that at first we were offered a tall table in the entrance part of the restaurant.

Restaurant heeft een mooie, luxe uitstraling. Echter, lukt het niet om hier uitvoering aan te geven. Personeel begrijpt het niet. Opdringerig, slordig. Borden zijn mooi opgemaakt maar smaak valt tegen. Vitello te koud en tonijn lauw. Geen olijfolie op tafel en zout/peper. Geen brood bordjes. Teleurgesteld.

Tutto ottimo e ottima cena , preciso soltanto che uno dei due maitre che ha annotato le pietanze da noi scelte (non era il signore che ha i capelli con il codino) non è stato ne accogliente, ma sfuggente e stizzoso….camerieri invece molto attenti e garbati. In conclusione la serata è comunque stata bella e la cena ottima, potrebbe migliore l’umore di questo maitre

After 4 weeks in Sicily, we had our first negative dining experience tonight. Giovanni, the person who took our order, was rude, dismissive, would not answer questions about dishes and basically ignored any request we made, whether for a bread plate, olive oil, description of a dish, etc. His behavior was so obvious and hostile that a diner from a neighboring table came by to commiserate that they had been subjected to similar treatment. He spoiled what otherwise would have been a meal of good food in a lovely setting. We will not be returning.

Locale frequentato da pubblico straniero più che italiano. Bella la location, piatti di buona qualità ma niente di particolare, i camerieri giovani fin troppo servizievoli, maitre un po' altezzoso. Lo stesso vino bevuto la sera precedente in un altro locale ma più costoso. Al momento del conto ci siamo dovuti far correggere lo scontrino perché era stato aggiunto un piatto non nostro per 30 euro. Errore grave per un locale che di atteggia di alto livello.

We celebrated our birthday dinner with family and friends from Australia 🇦🇺 We had a marvellous meal with incredible Sicilian dishes and local wines. The staff especially the maitre d” were extremely attentive I would highly recommend this Osteria.
