This was the best meal we had in all of Italy! The food was beyond delicious - we're still dreaming about the homemade cappellacci with ricotta and spinach with fresh truffle and the beef fillet with truffle and mashed potatoes. Also, the dessert cart they serve from was amazing. We loved the homey feel of the restaurant and the staff were so friendly. They treated us so well, especially after learning it was our honeymoon. I was so impressed that the staff had read my note on our reservation. 100% would go back, and definitely recommend!

Opens at 7:00 PM, we were seated promptly, food was excellent, portions are shareable so keep that in mind when ordering. My wife and I loved the ambiance and jovial atmosphere.

I plan on a dinner at Buca Mario every time I am in Florence. You should not miss it. Kind of touristy, but the service and overall ambiance, and of course the food are all amazing.

Excellent service, great drinks and the butter truffle pasta was divine. Our steak a la Florentine was the only disappointing thing that we ordered. It had some very tough pieces that were inedible. Kinda blew the buzz for my first steak a La Florentine.

Our group of 8 was pleased with everything from our private room to service to food. Everything was very amazing and excellent. It was my 4th time at Buca Mario and this time was the best of all visits.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. We went specifically for the Florentine steak. It was excellent! We had roasted potatoes, fresh asparagus, green salad and porcini mushrooms as sides, all excellent! Highly recommend!!

I HIGHLY recommend eating here if you are in Florence, Italy. As soon as we walked in, the staff was so welcoming and kind and seated us right to our tables. Our server Aldo was so friendly, funny, and attentive. We ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and lamb chops.. It was INCREDIBLE. So flavorful and delicious. Tiramisu was rich and the perfect end to our meal. The restaurant was so cozy yet chic. Everything was perfect. I hope to be back again soon!

Very friendly Owner & Host. Our server was very formal and didn’t talk to us much. I had the filet and gnocchi which was delicious. My husband had the T-bone Florentine steak, he said it was good, but not as flavorful as expected. He also had the pasta with wild boar sauce. He said that was pretty good. For the grand total of $200 you want to be wowed and we thought it was good, not great.

My husband and I had the best dining experience. Our waiter suggested a wonderful bottle of wine. We ordered the bistecca alla Fiorentina for two and it was cooked perfectly. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance. Family owned and wonderful hosts, I received a gift as we left, so thoughtful.
