The staff was absolutely amazing and really made our honeymoon. Out of all the restaurants we ate at in Italy this was by far the most organized well delivered experience.

The food at Buca Mario is incredible and authentic. We enjoyed crostini, pasta, steak, and tiramisu. The wine recommended was a perfect pairing for our meals. The service was the best we had our entire 10 day trip. the servers are attentive and knowledgeable. The value for the money was on point as well. Would highly recommend making a reservation as there is a long queue if you don't, and even if you do you might have to wait a few minutes for your table. As we were leaving the owner greeted us and offered us a Buca Mario reusable canvas bag. We loved our experience. Highly recommend.

Few restaurants live up to the hype yet this one exceeded expectations. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. Our server, Tommaso, was exceptional: both in service and personality. We both enjoyed everything we ate but our favorite, surprisingly, was the simple tomato bread soup. Unbelievable! Buca Mario is a must for anyone’s visit to Firenze!

Florentine for one needs to be charred and served hot, as we were first seating it seems that everything is premade.

Dopo anni, son riuscito ad andarci ma purtroppo le aspettative non sono state minimamente soddisfatte. Tanta pubblicità, tanto marketing. Ma per quanto mi riguarda, purtroppo, poca sostanza. La bistecca fiorentina, da loro descritta come la regina della loro cucina, è risultata una semplice bistecca FRESCA. Ne Narrano leggende, ma ha il minimo di frollatura, praticamente impercettibile. Grasso e marezzatura inesistente. Sapore esaltato: zero. Ho assaggiato carni di tutto il mondo, con frollature esagerate. Vengo nella patria della Fiorentina, vado da chi, sulla carta, si ritiene un maestro, ma la delusione è davvero troppa. Nulla a che vedere con le carni prodotte Galizia. Ma stiamo parlando di champions league contro amatoriali. Ecco, il paragone è forte. Ma rende l’idea.

This was the best meal we had in all of Italy! The food was beyond delicious - we're still dreaming about the homemade cappellacci with ricotta and spinach with fresh truffle and the beef fillet with truffle and mashed potatoes. Also, the dessert cart they serve from was amazing. We loved the homey feel of the restaurant and the staff were so friendly. They treated us so well, especially after learning it was our honeymoon. I was so impressed that the staff had read my note on our reservation. 100% would go back, and definitely recommend!

Opens at 7:00 PM, we were seated promptly, food was excellent, portions are shareable so keep that in mind when ordering. My wife and I loved the ambiance and jovial atmosphere.
