This is NOT a place for American tourists. There is no carbonara, bolognese, ragu, or meatballs… and the cacio e pepe is too spicy for American taste buds. Plus, if you are seated deep inside, you cannot get a signal for your phone, since this restaurant is actually in the foundations of the Pompeo amphitheater. So, no instant sharing on Instagram! We have been coming here for years and we have never been disappointed: this time we loved the saltimbocca and the abachio, plus the standard tiramisu for dessert. Service was perfect, wine list quite good (only the Barolo was overpriced). We will keep coming back.

Was in Rome for vacation and you were recommended by my USA friends. The experience was good. Service was ok. The waiter seemed very stressed and the larger groups received more table attention.

The antipasto was good, pasta was just okay, meat dishes were very good. The restaurant space is intimate. There were two rather large groups there at the same time so it was a bit loud. I would go back. Overall a good experience and meal.

Sono rimasto sorpresa dal luogo, all'interno del teatro di Adriano. Ho cenato tra le vestigia di un locale del 118 d. C. Locale suddiviso in più stanzette, dunque zero chiassosità. Cibi cucinati come a casa. La pastella dei fiori di zucca delicata, sottile, gustosa. Tutto cucinato al meglio da 10 e Lode. In finale una zuppa inglese fa vo lo sa e biscotti della casa eccellenti. Il cameriere Manuel corte è squisito nei modi. Il titolare Massimiliano gentile ed affabile. Qui la professionalità è di casa.

Made a reservation two weeks in advance and was relegated to the basement near the kitchen. There was a poor selection of red wines in small quantities. I no longer drink alcohol and apart from a coke, there were no nonalcoholic choices. Food was reasonable but overall impression poor.

Easy to make an online reservation. Service was good but not rushed and the food was very good. Also a nice atmosphere. Very rustic interior tastefully renovated and noise level was not too loud despite a full restaurant.

We went there last year and were blown away. Back this year with our son we were afraid it could not deliver the same way. Instead it exceeded our expectations. Everything about this gem is spectacular!

Waiters was terrible. Two different waiters harassed us constantly with the same questions. They speak Italian and make fun of the customers.

A lovely meal - we were booked for an early dinner, 7:30pm. There was already a good atmosphere with plenty of diners both inside and out. Very good service, delicious starter of antipasti to share. We had fillet of beef in red wine sauce, and saltimboca: both cooked beautifully and very tasty. A tiramisu and a zabaglioni to finish. All strongly recommended. 140 Euros including an excellent Montefalco sagrantino.
