Da Fortunato al Pantheon

Sono andato con il mio fidanzato a Da Fortunato al Pantheon per la sua cena di compleanno (una sorpresa). I camerieri erano fantastici, il cibo era meraviglioso ed è stata una notte che non dimenticheremo.

Tutto perfetto, qualità, educazione, gentilezza. Ottimi primi i secondi. Tornerò

Il ricarico sui vini è imbarazzante per cui conoscendo bene i prezzi di partenza mi volevo attenere su qualcosa di contenuto ma Il vino scelto era assente senza alcuna sostituzione di stessa fascia di prezzo (casualmente?). Antipasto di fritto fortunato sciapo. Una scelta? Ok ma datemi l'opportunità di aggiungerlo se voglio! Invece no, il numeroso personale risulta zelante nel pressare per prendere ordinazione e portare conto -non richiesto- ma non per questo. A proposito di conto apprezzo che sia stato stornato l'ossobuco ordinato e non toccato per quanto improponibile ma aggiungere il secondo cestino di pane da me richiesto perchè portato via il precendente mentre lo stavamo ancora consumando, non ha fatto che peggiorare la situazione. E pensare che mi era stato consigliato da un giornalista del Messaggero che scrisse proprio un pezzo su Fortunato.

Excellent, Da Fortunato meets expectations. And my expectations were high.

Excellent as always. The fettuccine with black truffle was wonderful, as was everything.

A wonderful dinner with an amazing view. Will definitely return on our next trip to Roma. Wine bar next door was a treat too.

We loved our delicious lunch at Da Fortunato. Our waiter took very good care of us, which is much appreciated by us as American tourists, and the food was delicious and very fresh and perfect. I recommend to everyone, make a reservation and have a meal here.

Great food! But bad service. Its slow between meals. Bad attitude of the staff. They dont seem too like people asking about the dishes.

Absolutely amazing! We had a lovely table outdoors. Service and wine recommendations were perfect. Food astounding! We enjoyed tuna tartare, braseola, and homemade pasta (gnocchi and linguine). Gratzi Da Fortunato!

Unfortunately it was not as I remembered it which was from my last visit of 8 years ago. From the ‘Uncaring’ welcome to the ‘Not interested’ service and most importantly the ‘Uninspiring’ food. All very below the standard I would expect for a high ranking and established Roman restaurant. So sad, poor Fortunato. May he rest in peace !

Great food, service and atmosphere. Had the snapper with capers, tomatoes with white wine sauce.
