The food and service was fantastico. It was our first night in Florence. We were quite tired but they treated us well and I’d highly recommend this wonderful gem.

Vado ormai da 20 anni a pranzo/cena al ristorante La Grotta Guelfa e, nonostante siano cambiate le persone mi sono sempre trovato benissimo ed il cibo è di una qualità eccezionale

Cena per due, bistecca vino e dolce, tutto di ottima qualità e servizio impeccabile

Abbiamo trovato questo ristorante grazie ad una pubblicità del nostro AirBnb… e che dire tutto perfetto! Da provare i piatti consigliati dallo chef a mio parere; il personale è stato molto gentile e simpatico, siamo stati benissimo! Un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Abbiamo mangiato una carbonara, una ribollita e una scottona che ci hanno lasciati soddisfatti, la saletta riservata con pochi tavoli ci ha fatto passare un ottimo pranzo.

A wonderful visit and the t-bone was one of the best I’ve ever had.

Had to send our first wine back. The second bottle was okay but I question their storage methods.

The food was delicious and the service was above and beyond. Our 2nd visit here and just as wonderful as the 1st time.

The meat war really good, the portions were very sizable. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place with authentic Tuscan dishes, beautifully prepared. Ribollita, white beans, steak Florentino, pistachio semi-freddo!

Food was wonderful, service was great. Despite being busy they made a good effort to get through whatever they could. Dishes were served well and was an overall great experience.

Went for an early dinner so had to eat outside (indoor section opened a bit later) and it was very hot - no misters or fans. Caprese salad and bruschetta were good but my steak was overcooked (Florentine steaks are usually very special) and rather disappointing- not a good cut or prepared nicely. We ordered a decent bottle of wine that was a bit pricey but the glass of "house" chianti that came with my early dinner 'special' was not good at all (undrinkable)- which is very unusual for Italy. My side spinach was great but my husband's pesto pasta was mediocre. In a city with many other excellent options, I would not recommend this restaurant. Have to say though, the wait staff was really nice and very attentive.
