Osteria Alla Frasca is a charming little restaurant somewhat off the beaten track, where the food was delicious and the waiter service was spot-on... attentive, but not overly so. Luckily, we booked in advance, because it was busy.

Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the pasta, main course, and dessert. The pleasant service made it even more perfect, making our last night in Venice an unforgettable one. The only problem is that if you wear shorts, you might get bitten by mosquitoes. I wish the restaurant would provide mosquito coils on each table. 😃

The food was good, not great. It seemed that we were an after thought all evening related to service. Also, an accordion player showed up, played one song to the restaurant and then kept saying we needed to tip him. He wouldn’t leave, but as soon as we have him a few euros, he left without playing another song. And, at the end of the evening, I went inside to finally get the check and they ignored me. I finally had to literally say “I’m not invisible. Can I have my check, please?” Go elsewhere. There are better places.

Excellent and beautifully presented dishes in a quiet off the beaten path setting. We had the sea bream carpaccio, the grilled octopus, gnocchi and grilled turbot. All were delicious. Nice unobtrusive but available service too!
