Il proprietario ( o colui che pensa di esserlo ) è molto maleducato . Il posto poi è diventato troppo commerciale . Le persone che ci vanno non sono piu’ quelle che ci andavano anni fa . Ci sono tanti altri posti , davvero seri e buoni , che non c’è proprio più bisogno di ritornarci .

Aldo was amazing. He made the experience worth while. He made amazing recommendations and was kind and friendly. Can’t say enough about him. The mashed potatoes were fantastic and the tiramisu was tasty. The steak was very good but very large.

A must visit restaurant during a visit to Florence. The owner greats every gust at the door. Which is amazing as the place is very busy and she also visited our table to make sure everything was perfecto. The staff is very friendly / well trained and knows the menu and wine list very well. Our food was very good. Pasta dishes were very good and well seasoned. Warning meat dishes are very large so consider sharing. Fried squash blossoms were delicious. Our only regret is we had zero room left for dessert. Pricing is at the higher end of the scale for Florence, but we felt the experience was worth the price. Highly recommend.

Il cibo ottimo, il servizio ancora di più! Speciale menzione per Nando e la signora (proprietaria). Se ti vuoi sentire a casa, trattato come un re (o una regina) questo è il posto giusto.

We were a little disappointed. We booked reservations 1 month ago because we heard that this place was amazing. We had prosciutto and mozzarella, the mozzarella was dry. She had lasagna, it was ok, we’ve had much better in the North end of Boston. I had the pasta with boar ragu, it was very salty.

Meerdere keren per jaar hier aanwezig. Deze periode is het echt wel high season… gerechten zijn minder goed klaar gemaakt. Blijft een prima plekje maar eten kan gewoon beter…

Lovely service and incredible food! What a treat to visit.

Service was very good, the pasta was exceptional, and was coupled with a very good wine list. Only downside was the three-person steak florentine which was cold on the inside (it was below room temperature). I love my steak cooked rare but a cold center is never good.

This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint!! The staff are all on top of their game and everything from start to finish was delicious. The prosciutto parm appetizer was delicious, followed by the gnocchi with meat sauce (outstanding!) and the florentine steak - this was shared with someone who does not eat steak and they LOVED it. Followed by desserts - tiramisu which was very good , and the fruit tart that was by far the best we’ve had. All in all an excellent meal, highly recommend

Very loud table of 7 men behind us essentially destroyed the atmosphere of this beautiful restaurant. We came for a romantic and quiet evening together. I expect a normal level of background noise but the other table acted like they were at a bar. They were drunk and boisterous. The concerning thing is that the wait staff did NOTHING to address the situation. That is until we asked to have our table moved to another room. The food was great except that I ordered my steak "à point" and it came almost saignant.

Great food The unfriendly waiter made our meal unpleasant. He was not very unprofessional. Actuall I prepare tips for waiter before I visit to restaurant. But I did not give it to waiter due to poor service. Take care if your face emotion.

Gerado was our server and he was amazing. So friendly and made the experience truly memorable. We will always think of him when we think of our visit. The food was amazing; we got appetizers, pasta, meat and desserts along with red and white wine. We would get it all again.

An absolutely lovely evening at Buca Mario. We were not the biggest spenders but felt welcomed and taken care of regardless. The staff were lovely and we got treated to a Buca Mario tote bag to keep when we left. The food was top notch, and the dessert which they bring out on a little desert trolley was so good too! If we get the chance, we’d definitely go again!
