Il ristorante era grande e molto affollato. Data la presenza di tante persone magari potrebbero tenere i riscaldamenti più bassi, poiché faceva veramente molto caldo. I tavoli sono tutti molto vicini e questo crea un senso di sovraffollamento non particolarmente piacevole. Il nostro cameriere era molto simpatico, gentile e disponibile. Vicino a noi vi era un tavolo grande di americani/ inglesi ( festeggiavano il compleanno di uno dei ragazzi). Preso l’ordine ( fiorentina con patate arrosto, fiori di zucca fritti, acqua e un bicchiere di vino), aspettiamo credo 10-15 minuti ed arriva questa bella Fiorentina che però ahimè era ben oltre che al sangue, nel senso che era completamente cruda e fredda nel centro, con il grasso ed il tessuto connettivo talmente crudi e duri che non era possibile tagliarli o masticarli. Abbiamo tentato di mangiarla ma non era per niente piacevole e dato il costo esoso non aveva senso non dire niente. Quindi abbiamo chiesto al cameriere di farla scaldare o cuocere di più perché era immangiabile in quel modo. Il cameriere gentilissimo si è offerto di farla scaldare, ma purtroppo quello che è tornato era solo vagamente riscaldato e non in maniera uniforme, con il risultato di una carne comunque difficile da mangiare. Detto ciò, noi sappiamo che la Fiorentina si mangia al sangue, ma questa era proprio fredda e cruda, con grasso crudo e duro. Quindi direi che l’hanno cucinata o meglio non cucinata male. Peccato perché alla fine abbiamo pagato tanto/ troppo per qualcosa di non buono ed autentico. Era la cena di compleanno del mio compagno rovinata da questa esperienza. Siamo italiani venuti a Firenze dal l’Inghilterra per visitare Firenze e provarne le specialità, Fiorentina compresa, ma siamo capitati male su quest’ultima. 180 euro che avremmo potuto spendere in altri cibi deliziosi che abbiamo provato nei giorni precedenti. Esperienza deludente e troppo cara per il prodotto che offrono 🫣😔😩

It was simply the best Florentine steak and lasagna my wife and I have ever consumed! The staff was so incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel as if we had been coming to their restaurant for years! I highly recommend booking an evening at Ristorante Buca Mario. Reservations fill up quickly so please make sure you book in advance. And as a heads up, if you don't like your steaks rare, don't order a Florentine steak and act surpised when it shows up rare because that's how they have been cooked for hundreds of years!

Super nice!! Absolutely adore the cute elder waiter who sings! He was super kind and nice. Didn't get a chance a ask his name. The overall experience was superb also. A great dinner a wrap up a trip to Florence.

The service was amazing, and the grandma’s lasagna was great. However, the beef I received was cold in the center. They gave me a €14 discount, but that does not cover given the cost of the beef was €40+. I’m disappointed and wished it had been better.

Had a great experience at Buca Mario. The server was very attentive and suggested some great options ( don’t miss the lasagna and torta della nonna). I would only say the service was a bit too quick, so didn’t just take our time to enjoy as I like at dinner. But otherwise all was great.

La bistecca alla fiorentina era tenerissima e cotta alla perfezione, i spaghetti erano al dente e il sugo era delizioso.
