Amazing food, authentic ambience, professional service! Cute gift at the end, little bit pricey vs other options but worth every penny!

Each year we go to Buca Mario the dinning experience keeps getting better and better. Which would almost seem impossible but yet it’s true. Amazing food and the waiter was absolutely wonderful See you next year

Lasagna was incredible. Service excellent…friendly, warm and did not feel rushed even though this is a very busy restaurant.

A truly fantastic meal and great service. The highlights of our meal were Nonna’s lasagna and our waiter Nando. This was the best lasagna I have ever eaten and I’m not even a huge fan of lasagna. Service was great across the board and was led by our fantastic waiter Nando. Made us extremely comfortable and made the atmosphere feel festive. Highly recommended and if you can get Nando as a server you’re in for a treat!

The stake was like rubber And it was not fresh. It was like 1 hour later after cooking. Cold and my chin was out of order.

Great food service ambience and location had a great time

Last time we ate here was 10 years ago and dreamed about coming ever since. The restaurant was as exactly as we remembered. Great service and incredible food.

I was very excited to go back after spending my birthday here almost two years ago. The food has been lovely but the atmosphere and people who ran it, made it. Unfortunately this time I came for my engagement (we live in LA& NY) and while the food was good, the staff was not very friendly and tried to rush us through our entire meal. The family stopped around last time to check in on tables and while the wife stopped by some tables around us, we were very much left alone and felt somewhat unwelcome. Even after we said we were there celebrating our engagement and asked for a picture our waiter didn’t seem too happy to take it and walked away speaking about us in Italian (which we understand). I had been excited to bring my new finance here for the first time for a really big moment in our life and again, while the food was lovely, the rest of the experience was unfortunately quite bad. I’m not sure if social media has ruined this place but that will be my last visit.

The food and rooms are outstanding. However, Carmine made the entire night spectacular. Felt like we were family. Will always come back when we are in Florence.

We had really high hopes since it got such rave reviews. We had the osobuco and spaghetti with meat sauce. Both were very average. I wouldn’t rush there. It’s an ok restaurant.

The experience at Buca Mario was exceptional from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The restaurant encompasses traditional Italian service, food and interiors. The wait staff were excellent and we were very well looked after. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Florence.

Service was excellent. Server friendly and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious. Ones that ordered the Florentine steak were not disappointed and glad they did. Appreciated you helping the celebrate the birthday boy.

The food was good. Our waiter was excellent. I would have given Buca Mario a much higher rating if the aC was cooling. The heat made it miserable and very difficult to enjoy our food. We weren’t able to finish our wine or dinner.

We had booked ahead for dinner with my daughter. We were welcomed at the door by the hostess and taken to our table. Wonderful traditional basement, huge portions, extremely polite and entertaining waiter (Mr Alto)! An experience not to be missed in Florence!

This family knows how to operate a successful restaurant in every respect. Service was excellent, lively atmosphere and cozy, great food, good sized portions and caring in all regards. A wonderful evening! It did get a little warm at one point, but it's summer! Grazie per tutti!!

Front of house made our waiter aware that we were celebrating a birthday. Our waiter wasn’t friendly, never asked us if we needed anything or if we enjoyed the meal. The steak was blue, not rare. A horrible and would not recommend! Za Za was excellent in comparison

Uncomfortably hot temperature in the restaurant. Food was good not great. Service was excellent.

Exceeded all expectations. In particular, the ossobucco was amazing and not available much outside of Tuscany. Service was attentive and friendly. Expect to spend roughly €100/person.

The florentine steak was not good quality. It was tough and sinewy. The pastas that we had were much too salty.

Our server wasn’t overly helpful or friendly. Not a lot of choices for gluten free or the server didn’t understand. Either way we left underwhelmed.
