From start to finish, the dining experience was excellent. Enrico is jovial and his staff is just as friendly. The service was efficient & the food was delicious. It truly felt like a home cooked meal. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet corner, which was such a treat! With all the hustle & bustle of the city, it was amazing to have such a tasty meal in a quiet space. Do not miss this gem while in Roma!!

Simplicity truly reigns supreme. Imagine a feast where every ingredient comes straight from the garden, even the succulent suckling pig. The presentation might not be the most refined, but it doesn't matter. The flavors of fresh, locally sourced ingredients made every dish a delight. From the humble vegetable to the slightly fermented delicacies, several lovely cheeses, culminating in the tender suckling pig, slowly barbecued over open flames for six hours. Add in two bottles of exquisite wine and several delectable dishes, and you have a meal that is absolutely worth every penny. We rolled out, stuffed and blissfully happy.

The best food and in particular, the Lasagna was my favorite plate of the whole trip! In general though great food and intimate vibes!

Amatriciana gustosa, carne cotta alla perfezione e carciofo fuori menù che da solo avrebbe meritato la visita. Il tutto in un’atmosfera curata e rilassata in posizione centrale e non caotica. Lovely romantic setting, friendly staff and excellent food and drink. We shared the mozzarella and salmon starter, I had spaghetti carbanara and my husband had a steak for our main course, both were delicious. We finished with apple pie and tiramisu. The house red complimented the food perfectly. A great evening with a nice ambiance, we would definitely recommend!

Lazgna with onion was perfect test , but beef with black paper I didnt liked too much with taste and hard done. Wines are really good, also ancient home ambience is good.

Just what we were looking for - lovely authentic Italian food!

Santa Cristina is a primary "go to" restaurant whenever I am in Roma. The family hosts are warm, inviting, and gracious. They never forget my name! Too, and perhaps more importantly to this review, the food is exquisite. They take great care to serve tasty food where the flavors just overwhelm you!

Quaint family ristorante in a quiet location. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was outstanding. Atmosphere was romantic and peaceful. We can’t say how pleased we were with our night out!

My mother and I left believing we may have had the overall best meal of our trip on our first night. In our view, this appeared a far more authentic Roman run, homemade meal, elevated by its simplicity and freshness. The zucchini & zucchini flower pasta such a surprise, it was perfect, the amalfi lemon cream pasta, described as medium spice but seemed mild to us, a lovely departure from the standard carbonara (also on the menu). The filet of beef with mustard sauce was another stunner we shared, think a of it as a far superior béarnaise, steak pounded thin and served medium rare. Very juicy, tender, a flavor bomb. The small pile of very fresh raw grated carrot and zucchini sat next to the steak, it too had a purpose to us- a palate cleanser we ate. The olive oil the waiter put on the table for us to use to dress the insalata mists was honestly extraordinary. You could absolutely taste the light flavor. We finished with a freshly made peach cheesecake and a two decaf espresso. Not a single “oh I could’ve skipped that” moment. A liter of house red. Paid 90 euro. We were jet lagged and stressed knowing we ordered too much, we ate all of it anyway. Leave the garish tourist traps behind and go here. You pay extra for bread if you want it (we did not), there is no tap water served, no you cannot order a cappuccino. Our waiter’s wife we learned was the chef. This place is the kind of place that justifies why you travel.

A quiet hidden gem! A lovely family owned restaurant tucked away on a quiet street in the heart of Rome. The food, atmosphere, service are all wonderful! We sat inside. It was quaint and quiet. We had a lovely meal. Spoke to wonderful servers and met a wonderful hardworking family. It’s an absolute must go!
