We absolutely loved La Taverna dei Monti! We loved it so much that we came back a second time the very next day! The owners and staff were so kind and friendly, and the food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is laid back and cozy. We ate outside one night (great for people watching), and inside the next night, and both options were fantastic. We loved the calamari, artichokes, cacio e pepe, carbonara, salmon, and spaghetti. The desserts were wonderful too. Even the house wine and aperol cocktails were amazing. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Rome!

This was, hands down, my family's best meal in Rome. Authentic, delicious food in the heart of Monti away from the numerous tourist traps! The service was absolutely fantastic. The owner was so sweet and treated us like family. I messaged ahead and mentioned it was my twin daughters' final night in Rome and they made the night magical, all the way down to complimentary limoncello at the end of the meal. Grazie mille!
