Trattoria Alla Madonna

Our meal at Alla Madonna was very disappointing. We have eaten there previously, and counted it as one of our favourite restaurants in Venice, but this time we felt that they were simply relying on their reputation and producing food that was, quite simply, uninteresting. Both starters and main courses were bland and tasteless, and the meal was scarcely redeemed by the delicious tiramisu and torta with which we finished. Our neighbours on one side had been to the restaurant around 20 times and swore they would never go again. On the other side were a young couple on their first visit to Venice: we gave them the name of a really good restaurant and saw them there the next evening. They were extremely grateful to us for enabling them to experience 'la vera cucina veneziana' as opposed to the very ordinary fare at Alla Madonna.

Buon rapporto qualita prezzo. Servizio cortese ed efficiente. Prezzi moderati. Prmili nero di seppia e secondi Precse San Pietro di ottimo livello. Il Tiramisu buonissimo. Da raccomandare.

semplicemente fantastico! centralissimo ma non è turistico. ottima cucina, pesche freschissimo, granseola più buona che abbia mai mangiato! e non ne parliamo di risotto. servizio impeccabile. pagato il giusto.

Ambiente tradizionale semplice e accogliente.. primi piatti buoni ma poco abbondanti e secondi senza un minimo di acvompsgnamento.. Pesce senza un pezzettino di polenta accanto o qualche patata....tutto da ordinare a parte... cibo comunque sempre ottimo!

Amazing seafood served by professionals!! A must in Venezia!! Will come back for sure, scampi, calamari, antipasti, friulano wine, even the carciofi and pecorino... excellent!

Wonderful food and excellent service. We will definitely revisit on our return to Venice which will be twice in 2019. Great wine selection by the bottle and glass.

Conosco questo ristorante da oltre 30 anni e domenica scorsa sono tornata ed è stata una ulteriore conferma. Ottimo il rapporto qualità-prezzo e eccellente il servizio. Bravi continuate così.

La Trattoria alla Madonna è un classico del ristoranti di Venezia. Tutto in ottimo qualità, i camerieri molto gentile e professionale, tanti ospiti molto interessante. Questo è un di miei ristoranti favoriti. Sempre!

Locale curato,personale gentile,cibo senza infamia e senza lode;l'antipasto"alla Modonna"insipido e troppo cotto,il risotto ai frutti di mare molto buono,la frittura di pesce di paranza non croccante ma bruciacchiata.Si'sono rimasta delusa!!!!

Ottiopesce,,servizio veloce,ristorante finalmente tradizionale senza inutili ricerche come alta sera al vecio fritolin Lenti ,improponibili,senza pesce,mai piu’ .tanta gente ma atomosfera piacevole come una volta.

Sehr beliebtes Lokal in Venedig, welches in allen Reiseführern empfohlen wird, deshalb war ich erst etwas skeptisch, ob es die richtige Wahl war...alles war sehr lecker und es gibt authentische italienische Küche, aufmerksame Kellner und gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Familiäre Atmosphäre trotz der Größe! Ich komme gerne wieder!

Ottima cucina e posto intimo e tranquillo vicino a Rialto, ma il servizio è davvero troppo per essere una trattoria! I prezzi di per sè non sono male rispetto ad altri ristoranti; ma il 12% per il servizio è esagerato!

Like many other reviews, this place has terrible service. Just drops the food plates and goes away. No talk, no introduction, nothing. The bread was already on the table, stone cold. Food was ok, not great. Don't believe the "best seafood risotto" claim, it's a lie. Got mixed fried seafood, the fish had too much little bones to enjoy, the calamari was bland.

Appoggiato su antichi fasti (?) l’esperienza inizia con il mancato rispetto della prenotazione su quandoo (“non accettiamo prenotazioni per due persone”) e finisce con un 12% di servizio applicato al totale del conto (“in Italia funziona cosi”). In mezzo cibo pessimo e servizio approssimativo.

Si può fare di meglio sia nell’accoglienza che nella qualità. Polipi non puliti a dovere. Buona la pasta con il nero di seppia. Pesce fresco.

Ottima esperienza. Servizio professionale e qualità dei cibi. Sicuramente consigliato. Si trova vicino al ponte di rialto. Da provare risotto, granseola e sarde in saor.

Das Essen war sehr gut, es waren alle zufrieden. Die Reservierung hat funktioniert. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam. Aber nicht aufdringlich. Es ist sehr ungewöhnlich, in einer so versteckten Lage ein so tolles Restaurant zu finden.

Sehr gutes Essen, lokale Küche. Langes Anstehen bis ein Tisch frei war, sehr gefragtes Lokal. Trotz der vielen Leute, sehr nettes Personal. Sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen wieder.

Nice seafood place but busy and loud. Service was okay. The food was quite good not amazing. Great place to try many dishes and share. We’d visit again.

I have been to Trattoria la Madonna several times, and in my last visit I realized that food quality has considerably decreased; it used to be a superb place to eat, and it is not the same anymore. It is a pitty.

Una certezza, come sempre, da oltre cinquant’anni : servizio eccellente, proposte gastronomiche della tradizione preparate con perizia, qualità degli ingredienti ottima. Un indirizzo da non perdere.

We were not lucky this evening - we had to wait 40min to get our table. Got a bottle of Prosecco on the house which was a nice gesture. Nevertheless the food wasn‘t really good and at the end they charge you a fixed percentage for the service which is considering the arrogant behavior of the service very unprofessional and rude. So we cannot recommend going there considering that there are so many fantastic options in Venice. TOURIST TRAP!!

We had an excellent meal with fantastic friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant. The next time we are in Venice we will definitely be back.

This place is the real deal. Our waiter was amazing and so helpful, including suggesting a regional wine to try. The food was very good and skillfully prepared. The grilled orata was so fresh and delicious. The Madonna cake was fantastic and so worth the calories.

Buon cibo, ma troppo caro. 2 bottiglie di vino ( in tutto 40 euro), due bottiglie d’acqua, due piatti di pasta e una zuppa di pesce, due fritture 1 dolce 1 amaro 176 euro forse un po’ esagerato...

Food was delicious, the service was fantastic, ambience was authentic Venetian! My family have been coming to this restaurant for 10 years and even have friends go there with our encouragement and delight!

It´s allways nice to return to Trattoria Alla Madonna. They delivers good food, great value and a convinient location very close to the Rialto Bridge.

Schlechter Service, schlechtes Essen und das Ganze auch noch teuer. Unser Keller hätte unterirdischer nicht mehr sein können. Hier sollte man auf keinen Fall hingehen.

Come sempre non delude mai .... pnon c'è un menu' esageratamente folto di piatto ma accoglienza, servizio, gentilezza,bonta,fanno di questa trattoria una sicurezza al 100%.....super consigliata...

Alla Madonna was wonderful. We are from Northern California and see where some of our favorite San Francisco Italian restaurants got their inspiration. If you're in Venice, it is a must.

Resta sempre un riferimento sicuro per chi vuole mangiare bene e genuino a Venezia. Peccato che i prezzi siano andati nel tempo aumentando, ma la qualità resta alta.

Wir sind seid vielen Jahren Gäste hier und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Am 2. September har es jeoch nur für ein Zufrieden gereicht. Vielleicht lag dies auch an den schrecklich lauten Marikanern im gleichen Raum.

Sehr authentisch, bester Fisch in Venedig. Wer allerdings gedimmtes Licht und Kerzen will ist hier falsch. Sehr viele Einheimische und ein sensationelles Tiramisu. Gerne wieder...

Der Service war perfekt wie immer , tolle FischauswAhl, gebratener Aal war spitze, lediglich die auf deutsch übersetzte speisekarte hat uns verwirrt... ansonsten Tutto bene.

Good food, good service! Typical venician trattoria. Fresh seafood and the waiters are there to please you! Prices are very reasonable (around 25€ per person with drinks and desserts). You can go and then go again and again!

Excellent! Tutto perfettamente rispondente alle aspettative: grancevola, fritto misto e verdure di accompagnamento. Servizio attento e cordiale; ambiente accogliente e intimo, nell’apparente semplicità. Lo frequentiamo per la verità da sempre

Posto abbastanza turistico, il cibo é buono ma dosi un po' scarse a mio avviso, il prezzo é nella media nel complesso mi sono trovato bene.

Buonissimo tutto. Comunque vogliamo tornare qui ancora se possibile. Lo staff sono simpatiche. Anche qui ci sono la cucina veneziana e il posto è comodo.
