Cibo delizioso, fiorentina eccezionale nella morbidezza, nel gusto e nella cottura. Servizio ottimo. Molta confusione ma in ogni ristorante che è pieno si fatica a chiacchierare sottovoce.

Siamo stati molto bene; servizio gentile e veloce, tagliolini al tartufo e fiorentina buonissimi; ottimi anche i dolci. Prezzi superiori alla media, ma la qualità costa.

We had a great time at Buca Mario. The food was delicious, the waiter was nice. They do not rush you at all even though the restaurant is always busy. The owner also comes around to talk to everyone which is always a nice touch, means they care about their guests. Would definitely recommend making a reservation.

Ottimi i piatti; grandioso il servizio, dell'accoglienza da parte della titolare, alla gentilezza e disponibilità dei camerieri. L'ambiente è molto caratteristico. I prezzi, abbastanza alti, sono comunque in linea con la tipologia del locale.

Tutto buonissima e alla fine hanno regalato una shopperbag alla mia amica che faceva compleanno!!!! Il momendei auguri è stato fantastico con tutti lo staff che cantavano tanti auguri!

Aldo was a wonderful waiter and very entertaining. T-bone a la Florentina was perfection. Pasta with truffles - divine. Excellent hospitality shown by all of the staff. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Overall a little disappointed :( I was really looking forward to treating myself to this meal, and the experience was a little flat. The food was good, but for spending over 100€ for just one person, I hoped for more. I ordered the ricotta and spinach stuffed pasta with butter and sage sauce and the Florentine tbone steak for one. The pasta was pretty incredible but small in portion. And the steak wasn’t the best I’ve had, but I enjoyed that the original flavors were respected with mild seasoning and only being lightly cooked. The most disappointing part I would say was the service. I don’t know if I was discriminated against for being on the young side (in my early 20s), however when the wine was brought out, I wasn’t shown the bottle or given a taste before pouring. And when my steak was served, they didn’t carve it like they did at the other tables. I also asked for balsamic with my bread and I never got it. Seemed like maybe they didn’t take my dining experience as seriously. I could be wrong, but just a warning to any young solo travelers out there looking to treat themselves. I will say, the door staff was very friendly and I was greeted kindly.

Ero già stato in questo ristorante e avevo mangiato bene. Questa sera ho preso una bistecca fiorentina media al sangue ma è arrivata fredda. Dopo averne mangiato un po’, ho chiamato il cameriere lamentando il problema. Ha detto subito che non andava bene e che l’avrebbe fatta riscaldare. A quel punto però ero già disgustato. Penso che sia grave che un ristorante come Buca Mario presenti un piatto così. Anche perché il costo non è trascurabile (60 euro).

Busy restaurant that seems geared towards industrial tourist service. Lack of attentive service, long delays, and okay to decent food.

Very pleasant staff but long delays in receiving our wine and other drinks, taking our food order, and, most importantly, the very long delay in serving the food. Half of group of 6 were finishing their meal before the other half received their food and only after complaining to the manager/owner and then the waiter did the second half receive their food. We’ve been in Florence for 5 nights. This was by far our best meal. The food was absolutely delicious. You must have a reservation. We did the early seating. I get Tiramisu for dessert a lot in the US and will tell you this was the best I have ever had. Ciao Firenze. Off to Roma

Buca Mario!! When reserving I mentioned we were celebrating our 50th anniversary with our family of 8. On arrival we were greeted like royalty, shown to a private room filled with flowers and a beautiful fireplace. Attentive staff were wonderful. From the Artichoke salad, and Tuscan Pecorino appetizers to Pappardelle with Wild Boar and the Florentine T-Bone to name just some the wonderful plates to the desserts and wine selection were delicious. We can’t thank you enough for truly making this a celebration of a lifetime! Bellissimo! Grazie!

I was told to try Florentine steak while visiting Florence, so we made a reservation here, and it was so good! The steak was delicious! And the service was amazing! Our waiter even sang to us! Highly recommend!
