We celebrated a wonderful 43rd anniversary at Buca Poldo. Had a private table under an awning - good thing as we were soon doused with a torrential downpour. Our waiter was a good sport, running back & forth with our food! He was so congenial & accommodating. Food & wine delicious!

Just down a side street away from the business of Firenze in the evening is this wonderful dining experience. We sat outside and the service was first rate! My husband enjoyed a Florentine steak for the first time and it was fabulous! Danon (spelling?) was both attentive and super helpful with our wine and meal selections. I loved my pici pasta dish just delectable!

Das Essen im Restaurante Buca Poldo war sehr gut. Das Risotto mit Zucchetti und Minze war ausgezeichnet. Meine Frau meint, dass sie die beste Petto d'Anatra seit je gegessen hat. Meine Tagliata war sehr zart. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.

First and foremost, we had the privilege of being served by an amazing waitress, who went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. Then the food... it was fresh and delicious. Could not believe how tasty and soft was the Tiramissu. We really enjoyed the experience!

Overall the experience was great! The wine selection was impressive - so many to choose from. My boyfriend and I split two dishes - the spinach ravioli and the beef filet with a side of roasted potatoes. Everything was delicious!!! The waitress was so sweet, she gave us recommendations for where to travel next. Great service!

Dog barking from patron most of dinner. Did not have wine on menu..felt a little bait and switch.…dinner was good. Supposed to be a locals place but they were aggressive asking for gratuity.

We found the food and wine both to be mediocre. There are so many other good restaurants in Florence, try somewhere else before booking here.
