This restaurant (service, food quality) has declined a lot, after eating for many years here...unfortunately, I will not return. It is disappointing when an owner no longer has passion for a great and reliable Roman dining option.

We had a wonderful meal with great service! The pasta was homemade and fantastic and the Roman meatballs were delicious! Definitely recommend for an authentic Italian meal.

Waiters were too busy. We got main food before we even finished starters. They didn’t even listen to us when we tried to order something. In the first page of the menu they say ”there’s no rush”. We had to ask things several times. Food was ok, ravioli good, chicken very dry and tasteless.

Best place for trippa alla romano. I visit this restaurant everytime i visit rome.

If you can avoid this place I would. The only decent thing we had was the zucchini. They didn’t ask us if we wanted bread and charged 2.50 euro per person for it anyway. The pastas were passable at best and bland. Worst, the tiramisu was runny and biscuits were stale, overall better food and service at an Olive Garden.

Supposedly this is one of the old establised restaurant and on a Sunday lunch it certainly reflected it. Streams of customers coming in. The antipaste Zucchine alla Scapece (small zucchini in an herb olive oil) was very good, so was my partner's Fettuccini with peas and beans. My Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe was creamy alright but way too salty for my taste. Had better ones elsewhere, such as at Roscioli.

Il locale di Testaccio è diventato un posto per comitive king size, con gente stipata in ogni angolo. Si mangia ancora decentemente e il personale fa del suo meglio (molto apprezzata la disponibilità nel cambio sala), ma l'atmosfera ormai è terrificante. A cena sì, ma con i tappi per le orecchie

I can not understand the hype. The pasta here was mostly very salty. and I tried 2 of 5 pasta dishes on offer. The menu sais "we don't rush" but that's exactly what it felt like, allthough we had a 2 pax reservation right at opening time where it wasn't even busy. The dishes served were all over the place without order or timing. Waiters rattling tableware next to my ears and talking to other guests across the room right over my shoulder did not make me feel very appreciated. The espresso took 20 minutes and was served warm. The bill was incorrect and I got a cash return after asking about it. The wine was good.
