The Old Bear is my favorite restaurant in Rome. Tonight I had the lobster pasta special and it was perfect for summertime.

We had a fun time at the Old Bear. Our table was ready when we arrived, the servers were great. Food good and served promptly.

We had a comfy table in a corner far from the entrance. We ordered two apps: the eggplant and the mozzarella with Parma ham. Both were excellent. Our main was paella. Good but not excellent. We might have ordered poorly there. Our evening was perfect though. Comfort food in big portions. Good service. A table quiet enough to talk. House red wine was adequate. We would go again.

Very nice and cozy atmosphere and friendly waiters. Unfortunately the tomatoes in the bruschetta was missing a bit of taste and the main course was served while we were eating the antipasti. But all in all a good visit 😊

We visited the Old Bear years ago and were so excited to return. Everything is amazing. The alley atmosphere is so Rome, the service is better than any other restaurant around and the food is by far our favourite in all of Rome. We have already scheduled our next dinner at Old Bear. Absolutely worth the stop.

Went in for the Paella, but it really it’s more like seafood risotto. Good portion for 2 people, can share it to 3 people if not big eaters.

Old Bear is part of every trip to Rome for me. I love the quaint and cozy atmosphere, the food is consistently good, the atmosphere is like walking into your friend's home for dinner.
