Ein traditionsreiches Restaurant mit gutem regionalem Essen und überaus freundlichem Service! Unser Kellner Aldo ist einmalig, mit Witz, Charme und Gesang hat er uns durch den Abend begleitet und war dabei sehr professionell. Vielen Dank wir haben uns sehr gut gefühlt!

Had a great experience overall. It is no mystery why this eatery has been around as long as it has. The staff was knowledgeable regarding the menu and attentive despite being quite busy. The atmosphere was a bit loud and the tables were situated a little too close together for my comfort, which is the only reason Buca Mario’s did not get my highest rating overall.

Un po' freddo la temperatura nel locale , seppur ci fossero i condizionatori accesi , forse perché eravamo in una saletta un po' isolata. Nel complesso però molto gentili educati i camerieri . Cibo buono, piatti abbondanti.

Locale tradizionale che non delude ottima la carne il servizio e i dolci!!

Although Japanese is not spoken, the hospitality of the staff is excellent.

I loved when the employee who was holding a fake cake pretended to drop it on my friend. Made my whole day. Really really great hospitality, I felt like I was in an Italian household and the cooking came from Nonna.

We were excited to dine here only to be disappointed with the food and the waiter. A lovely greeting from owners but it went down hill from there. The waiter was not interested in explaining anything and presented with a lack of interest. There was no explanation of how the dishes worked or any recommendations. He was o my interested in taking the order and moving on. The food was subpar but they may have been what we ordered too??

It wasn’t amazing. The T bone steak is served rare — which is always a little variable from one restaurant to the next, but theirs is definitely at the raw end of the scale. The potatoes were nice, the garden salad was sad, and the fried zucchini flowers were ok. The next table seemed to really enjoy the tiramisu. The lights were bright, which killed any kind of atmosphere. The service was perfunctory, apart from the hostess, who was very warm and welcoming. Overall, it was a solid 6 1/2 out of 10.

People there are warm, inviting and patient and the food is out of this world. Highly recommend 👌🏻 and I will return God willing!

Esperienza stupenda. Siamo stati a Firenze per un weekend ed abbiamo voluto regalarci una cena in un tipico ristorante toscano e per questo abbiamo deciso di prenotare presso Buca Mario. Già dall'accoglienza si percepisce quanto ci tengano a farti sentire coccolato ed a tuo agio. Il servizio è stato impeccabile e il personale attentissimo ad ogni esigenza. Il cibo ottimo a partire dall'antipasto, al primo, al contorno ed alla classica bistecca alla fiorentina che era uno spettacolo per gli occhi ed il palato. Gustosa, succosa, cotta alla perfezione (ovviamente al sangue) e si scioglieva in bocca. Che dire, un'esperienza che non poteva offrire più di quello che ci ha dato e di cui siamo rimasti soddisfatti oltre ogni aspettativa. Posso solo che consigliare a chi si trova a Firenze e vuole godere di un'esperienza unica, gustando le prelibatezze del posto, di non pensarci due volte e prenotare da Buca Mario. Soddisfazione garantita.

First class food, wine and service. What a joyful experience!

We heard about Buca Mario from a chef at a cooking class we took in Florence. We were elated that we were able to get in that evening. The atmosphere was inviting and we knew immediately that we were there for an experience as well as a meal. The food was delicious (the T-bone for two was so big we took the leftovers back to our hotel and had them for breakfast)! The vibe there is extremely conducive to a long relaxing meal. We felt encouraged to slow down and really enjoy the evening. The bill was well within the range of what we expected it to be and felt it was appropriate for the quality and service. As we were leaving we were greeted by the owner and his daughter and were gifted with a lovely momento to take home. We had a photo taken with them in front of a photo of his parents who were the original owners of Buca Mario. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Our steak was full of gristle and was very tough, the beans were undercooked and unseasoned. The wine was great, and desert was very good. Appetizer was also good. All in all the steak was not worth the money. Having had bisteca in several places in Florence, although highly recommended, it was the worst steak I’ve eaten in Florence

What an exceptional experience. The staff and the food both wonderful. We were celebrating on our honeymoon, they started us off with a congratulations of Prosecco, the entire staff knew we were celebrating and acknowledged us💕 we also even got a hug from a waiter. Very cool experience and amazing food.
