I wish I never had to write this review but the experience ruined the whole trip. I had booked a table for 2 on Saturday at 22, I know it is late but it was the only available slot in the app; so when we enter the restaurant and even before we had removed our coats, a waiter approaches and says "to have to order right away as the kitchen is closing"; this said, we did not have much time to go through the menu so we just ordered an antipasto and a main course, didn't even consider to order a good bottle of wine since we would not have the time to enjoy it. We were half through the antipasto, and they already served the main course, which had to sit there until we were done with the appetizer, so when we started eating it, it was already cold and not tasty at all. It was a miserable dinner and since I was inviting someone else, I felt terribly embarrassed for the situation. Staff was not very nice and the person at the reception desk didn't even say goodbye when we said it twice. This said, I understand that the time was late, I know how consuming this type of business is, BUT, if you do not want to serve people at that time, don't let them book the table, close the slots earlier or just say you cannot accommodate them, but don't let them in and give them this bad treat and food, if you cannot be up to a minimum standards at a certain hour of the day, close earlier or don't take the bookings. It is not honest at all to treat customers this badly and ruin their trip.

Giornata molto positiva e non solo grazie ai carciofi alla giuria fantastici ma anche a tutti i fritti( digeribilissimi) la location che trasuda di storia , la respiro e un cameriere Scerif di origine Egiziana ma che ha assorbito quello dopo tre ti romano , cordiale che ti fa sentire a casa e non ospite 😃⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tutto buono e servizio impeccabile peccato che il mio piatto coda alla vacinara aveva un pezzo quasi ghiacciato mentre gli altri pezzi erano caldi a sufficienza.....ho comunicato al cameriere la cosa ed era pronto a cambiarmi il piatto ma ormai avevo finito.

Delicious lunch. The front room with views of the neighborhood is best.

We had great time during lunch. We loved the food, the ambiance and the service. Visiting the toilet of the restaurant also is part of the experience. If possible do not go there, or do after finishing eating. This is also one of your restaurant faces, so I cannot understand how it can be showed to the guests in it's state.

We visited Gigetto Al Portico d’Ottavia last year on our vacation. This year, we went to a different restaurant in The Jewish Ghetto and were disappointed so I made sure I reserved Al Portico for our last night in Italy and it even surpassed the excellent food and service of last year! We will visit them every time we visit Rome!

abbiamo apprezzato tutti i piatti ordinati fettuccine ai carciofi, pajata, carciofi alla giudia, parmigiana, fiori di zucca e filetto di baccalà, crostata di ricotta e visciole, unica nota negativa il fritto misto di verdure non sufficientemente croccante; location semplice, prezzi leggermente alti, servizio adeguato alla tipologia del locale. Buono il vino bianco della casa.

la maggior parte delle cose che abbiamo scelto dal menu non c’erano: terminato tutto il pesce, niente puntarelle, macchina del caffè già spenta… era meglio chiudessero prima. Mai vista una tale mancanza di professionalità… una vera delusione…

Buon ristorante di cucina giudaico romana. Buoni i carciofi alla giudia e i fiori di zucca ripieni e fritti. Discreto rapporto qualità-prezzo, ma si paga l posizione centrale lungo il Tevere

Ambiance of a traditional Restaurent’s, a great waiter who showed us how to prepare artichokes, excellant Sant Angelo red and of course fried artichokes! The rest of the meal was good but one plate had cooled before serving.

Everyone loved the meal they ordered! Funny family friendly atmosphere. Only down side was getting a taxi to go back to our hotel. It took about 45 minutes.

October fest going on next door was a bit loud during the first part of our meal. The food was great, but our waiter was not the most friendly.

A very enjoyable and delicious dining experience in a beautiful spot!

The fried artichokes did not disappoint. My wife had the baked cannelloni and I had the Bucatini Amatriciana pasta. Both dishes were excellent. The service was as well very good and very professional. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Everything was simply amazing from the service, atmosphere and the food. Truly amazing and highly recommend. We enjoyed the beautiful back patio.
